I have been working at EFU Life part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

In the field of insurance one gets to meet all kinds of professionals. 'Sales' as a whole helps to provide a wide exposure to the outside world as we gain a lot of experience about how to deal with different people and develop new selling strategies and manage to cross different hurdles that cover the path of success. Also the targets that are set by EFU LIFE ASSURANCE for its sales personnel help them to strive harder and harder and move up in the organization. Lastly, as money is the main motivator, one can earn a very high income as he puts in more effort and successfully closes a good number of sales. Last but not the least, EFU employees possibly the best higher management in the insurance industry.

    Cons

Sales of insurance plans depend largely on the dynamic business environment and economic conditions of the country and therefore a fixed income is not certain. Also in most places including EFU LIFE the salary is based on monthly targets and therefore one does not get paid if he has been a 'non-producer' for more than two months.

    Advice to Management

Kindly offer adequate conveyance allowance to the sales force as many people avoid attending appointments because they don't have enough money to bear the expenses of traveling to two or more places/meetings.
