Pros
Owners let you work the way you like, they put trust on you, you feel like you really contribute to the team and the company.
Cons
Small company with uncertain future, sometimes some dramas.

Pros
Small studio, great team, friendly environment from other artists.
Cons
Lack of proper management, long hours, very messy and chaotic.

Pros
Worked with thr NY office for a while. Had an amazing location and every one was friendly. Was a great experience especially with the type of commercial work we did.
Cons
There was really not much attention and planning by the owners put into the NY office, hence the reason it closed down.
- Former Contractor★★★★★
Pros
friendly colleagues-family atmosphere-and that includes management
Cons
they get some of the worst clients, low profile, grindy work sometimes

Pros
I can't speak for the artists who work there, but it seems like they're pretty happy. Most employees are kind and easy to work with.
Cons
Absolute drama-fest on the 1st floor. The single person in HR is a doormat, and lets the worst people act however they want. Expect yelling, insults, and temper tantrums from some, and others to ignore you completely . People are fired over petty ego trips, it seems the a lot of the best staff have left or were canned . There is no clear job description for anyone, it's a free for all, with random tasks being dumped on whoever is convenient at the time. There is a particular executive producer who constantly belittles and insults staff, using extreme profanity, both behind their back and to their face. I've heard this particular person verbally assault the front desk staff over lunch, while CLIENTS WERE IN HOUSE. Seriously one of the most unprofessional things I've ever experienced. I would not recommend this company to anyone that I know.

Pros
Working at Eight VFX is like working with a family. Because it is a relatively small company, everyone works like a team. They consider everyone like a family and make sure everyone is taken care of. They all try to help one another to accomplish their goals.
Cons
Sometimes the deadlines were intense. But that also comes with the industry and the job itself. The only other con is that if they didn't have parking available, then it was a bit hard finding parking around that neighborhood.

Pros
The artists are predominately amazing! Really great group of guys.
Cons
This is literally the worst, most verbally and emotionally abusive company I have ever worked for in over 10 years of my career. The senior management is completely unprofessional, yelling at each other in front of everyone, across the building, verbally abusing the receptionist, trash talking EVERY client, artist and their own agents. I couldn't be more disappointed, as boutique houses are supposed to have the best culture. If you can keep your booking to 6-weeks or less, you can get out of here unscathed. Do not stay more than that, as this is the most political place I've ever been, and they're less than 30 people.

Pros
There was a great salary for the position as well as a challenging job with the capabilities to be many different hands in the company. Wonderful networking opportunities and interesting projects.
Cons
Relationships among staff got a bit political, especially with sudden oversight of the LA CEOs who were not previously involved in the company going-ons. Poor communication across different chains of command.

Pros
- Awesome team. - Company buys lunch/ dinners. - Lots of free food/ coffee. - Nice office / location.
Cons
- Hours can be long, spent countless hours dealing with pipeline issues and having a non existent pipeline team to support it is ridiculous. Main help was from there IT and other Compositors. - Workflow from Nuke to Flame is not ideal, a lot of confusion. - Need more Producers/ Coordinators, there should not only be 1 point of contact for questions.

Pros
Many talented artists in this studio. They are kind to share things with you.
Cons
They only serve Expresso than Coffee.
