The Best way to Jumpstart your career in IT sales

Feb 22, 2021 - Sales Development Representative (SDR) in Miami, FL

      Business Outlook

      Pros

-Comprehensive and in-depth training -Hands on shadowing and personal/professional development -Easy going company culture and family oriented team. There's far too many good things to name about my experience here at EIMS but overall, the key takeaway is that this job not only gives you the experience and preparation that you need for a long and prosperous career in IT sales, but also provides you with a home. The people and culture here are great and they make you feel like family from day 1! There's never a moment where you ever feel lost, or left out because there's always someone there to ensure your success. I wouldn't be the person I am today or in the position that I'm in without EIMS.

      Cons

I got hired during a work-from-home era so I never got the chance to meet ALL of the employees based out of the Miami office unfortunately.

Hard work pays off later...at next job

      Apr 15, 2021 - Sales Representative

      Pros

Learning best practices in sales for speed and maximum efficacy. It translates to money. They offer career growth and training. Movement is possible and good for your resume. Don't expect to make wads of cash. Solid benefits modeled after their UK headquarters.

      Cons

You won't make money here as a sales person. You need to get the credentials and learn their techniques and move on. Technology sector offers significant benefits, go direct. They are selling their services to companies so it's reasonable they need to make money. It's a give and take. Give your best, learn and take what you can as soon as you can and go.

      Worst place to work

Apr 19, 2021 - Sales Development Representative (SDR) in Miami, FL
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Get inside knowledge to understanding the sales process for big IT companies

      Cons

This is absolutely the worse job you can possibly have. -Even when you are a top performer, micromanagement is excessive. - Managers gave no couth or respect for its employees especially since there is no HR - They like to play disgusting mind games only to still not promote you - If you don't kiss up, they will not promote you - Unethical on every level on how the office is ran. You will be left miserable and depleted to the point where a check from them isn't worth it. - There aren't not many employees that stay for more than a year and there is a reason why.

      6 months later.

Feb 4, 2021 - Business Development Representative in Miami, FL

      Pros

EIMS will take just about anyone that seems semi-personable and will put them through training so they are able to appear professional enough over the phone to swindle a successful adult into thinking they aren't dealing with a 20 year old.

      Cons

The organization is pretty much a cult. Leadership blatantly lies to employees. You're expected to stand up and do a song and dance to keep your job. You're expected to allow leadership to disrespect you and make fun of you. You're expected to wear business formal in any situation where you could be seen by someone else within the business—including Zoom meetings. You're expected to basically brown-nose your boss, and maybe even a little more if you want to get ahead. All managers are newbies that turn over within a few months. I could go on forever.

      Pros

Lot's of support from management and upper management. They listen to your calls and go over them with you. Working remotely was really nice. Everyone is friendly.

      Cons

None that I can think of.

      Buckle Up

      Pros

You gain a ton of experience, whether it be dealing with different personalities of clients/colleagues, good place to start to gain the experience you need and then look for greener pastures ASAP

      Cons

Essentially a telemarketing sweat shop boiler room type of gig. They have a lot of flaws but if you're giving a manger the ol' "tug n' pull" you will fly to new heights(while sinking to new lows in the eyes of your co-workers). Management is God AWFUL, from the way they belittle and berate you while micromanaging. The managers they put in charge of campaigns have no idea how to lead. I've seen some great employees walk through those doors and then walk straight out once they realize how things are past the "enthusiastic culture" (that is forced upon you, introverts beware) Feels like the company is run by a high school clique mentality, where the popular kids advance with no merit or moral and if you're not popular you can definitely sleep with your choice of mangers, if you don't know which manger to sleep with just wait for a party outside the office and you'll notice the ratchetness come to life. No HR means they get away with murder in insulting you, degrading women and homosexuals. But hey they have a pool table.
