EOIR is a decent company with approaching 400 employees. Great benefits and (for me) a great commute.

    Pros

    Great people
    Entrepreneurial culture
    Interesting projects
    Up and coming company
    Relaxed and inclusive environment
Not your typical stodgy govt contractor

    Cons

Rapid growth and acquisition of other companies has caused growing pains.
Systems and processes have not kept up with growth which cause frustrations
Lots of changes to org chart
Government contractor industry is shrinking resulting in less stability and opportunity

    Advice to Management

Take some time to focus on formalizing systems and processes to catch up with growth in size over last few years
Try to expand into areas outside defense

I worked at EOIR Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good benefits
Flexible hours + Able to work from home
Heavy use of Mac/Unix machines instead of windows boxes
    Great environment + People

    Cons

There wasn't a lot of organization or structure in the offices. One or two people are "in charge" and basically everyone else works on their own project. Work comes in waves, so sometimes you're bored out of your mind, and sometimes you're working 60 hours a week or more.

    Advice to Management

    Better communication with employees
    Better defined structure
