    Pros

    Great pay and time off... 9/80 work schedule, generous vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, great bonus structure, and very nice long term incentive program.

    Cons

    Uncertainty about company longevity after recent merger and announcement to split Production and Midstream into two companies. There are some departments that need to be split up because of the cliquish nature of the employees.

    Advice to Management

    Be open to employees about future plans regarding the business.

    Pros

    Salary and benefits are extremely competitive.

    Cons

    Instead of strategic iniatives, internal politics and who's friends with who influence high level decisions. Although the pay is great, it is because the hours are terrible. There is no work life balance.

    Pros

    The compensation is pretty good for the WPA/WV operating area. Every other Friday off is also nice.

    Cons

    Cons? There are so many cons that I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot. However, let's start with the "leadership". If you're not lifelong pals with a "leader" in the company or suck up to them, good luck making progress with your career.

    Even though "leadership" wants their employees to be "brave" and speak up about concerns or problems, they actually don't want to hear it. If you do speak up, be prepared to be retaliated against. "Leadership" gets away with this by tinkering with the subjective part of your year-end evaluation, and because Human Resources allows it. HR is useless and their "leadership" seems to be the worst offender of creating a terrible workplace culture. This probably applies to every company, but do not trust HR.

    Company "leadership" preaches safety as a top priority, but does not actually practice it. For example, HR "leadership" attempted to serve an employee alcohol even though she knew that person had to drive a company vehicle soon after dinner. And then she tried to get that person to transport alcohol in the company vehicle -- which is against company policy. Another "leader" talked about vehicle safety, but did not appear to have a grasp on how vehicles work or how they are needed for basic job functions.

    There is no team atmosphere, because the "leaders" are too busy comparing egos. Often times, the "leaders" are not fit to run a hotdog stand. You know it's bad when entry level employees know more than their "leaders".

    The company does not care how much they'll taint your personal life. Be prepared to work 50+ hours a week and receive nothing in return for it. And if you don't work those 50+ hours, get ready to be reprimanded. Also, be prepared to completely change your living situation, as the company has no problem with forcing you to relocate.

    Oh yeah, there's also plenty of sexism and racism in the company, but no one does anything about it. That's probably because if you bring it up you WILL be retaliated against. Thanks HR.

    Advice to Management

    Stop lying. Lighten up. Be more accessible. Become more diverse. Value your employees appropriately and stop playing favorites. Require managerial 360 reviews and get rid of the ones who shouldn't be in a "leadership" position. Replace Value Drivers with objectives that actually add value to the company. Get rid of the toxic "leadership" (hello HR, sexists, and racists). Re-evaluate the EQT and Equitrans future "leadership" teams, because most of them are not leaders.

    Probably just start over at this point, but do it correctly (see above).

    Unorganized, unfriendly computer system with not much in help to resolve issues for contractors

    Make sure IT follows up with computer issues and do not close ticket until the issue is resolved

    Pros

    Decent pay and benefits package.

    Cons

    Downtown location means you have to pay for transportation/parking. No causal dress code.

    Personally I felt that I was a valuable asset to the team, and was appreciated by my supervisors and manager for my hard work, but I didn’t feel valued by the company itself. Micromanagement and high turnover hurts morale, work/life balance, and creates a toxic environment. Not a team atmosphere between most departments, and a lot of uncertainty about management decisions.

    Advice to Management

    Relocate everything out of downtown. Update management style, and stop micromanaging. Relax the dress code - people work just as well if not better in a less “stuffy” environment. Let everyone feel part of ONE team, and show employees that they are valued when they work hard!
