I worked at ERA Advertising full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I learned a lot while working for this company. They gave me the opportunity to develop skills I did not yet have being fresh out of college. The people there care about you and challenge you to do your best. I had the chance to travel to different places which made the experience working there even better. If I could have done anything differently it would have been to pay attention more during training.

    Cons

It is an extremely fast paced environment which is something I struggled with though it did give me the chance to challenge myself and has made me better at my job now. The environment is competitive in and they will push you to give it your best.

    Advice to Management

Bring Coffee when we have to work promotional events early!

I have been working at ERA Advertising full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Having only started with Era a few weeks back, I already am finding myself impressed with the excess of tried-and-true techniques and tools they’ve provided in order to reach success. Being somewhat new to the marketing industry with a lot of managerial experience, I came in a bit uncertain but the training is more in-depth and hands-on than any other company I’ve worked with and delivers results you can see daily. They...

    Cons

Training can be pretty full throttle, but it allows you to hit the ground running in a fast paced and exciting work environment.

    Advice to Management

Don’t hire lazy people! Only hire people that want to be here for the right reasons and want to grow.

I worked at ERA Advertising full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

It's a small company so you know everyone.

    Cons

It's so small that they don't even reach $1 million in revenue per year. Where can we get paid? They expect everyone to help with sales. They hire anyone.

I have been working at ERA Advertising full-time for more than a year

    Pros

ERA is an up and coming company with ambitious goals and the skills to back their vision. The CEO is very competent, confident and straightforward. Every interview was professionally conducted. Responses were simple and thorough. Accessibility was a plus! The Corporate Trainers and Leaders are more than willing to highlight positives and share best practices: the environment is set up for everyone — with or without sales-marketing...

    Cons

I drive 3 hours to work, round trip, because I am living in the Yuba-Sutter area and the main office is based in Suisun. Outside the office we work 5-8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week in Vallejo, Fairfield, and Vacaville. I fill the reimbursed travel time with audiobooks and inspiring lectures.

    Advice to Management

    Remain approachable, coachable and execute.

I worked at ERA Advertising full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Everything at ERA is done personally and in-the-moment. Coaching is custom tailored for me and my current situation. I don't feel as if I'm a "number" there; I feel as if I am someone - an individual. The energy here is awesome and unlike any other organization's that I've ever worked for.

    Cons

Part time positions are fine, it's more for full time employment though.

I have been working at ERA Advertising full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Beautiful branding and quick response to potential employees. The receptionist is very nice.

    Cons

This company uses cat fishing techniques to get new employees. They claimed they were hiring for work in Davis (20-30 minutes from me) and it turned out that they were hiring an hour and a half away from me in Vallejo, Suisin city and Fairfield. This was not stated in the job qualifications or in the phone call I had with the receptionist prior to the interview. Needless to say $26 of gas later I arrived to find they...

    Advice to Management

Be honest with potential employees. Advertise correctly for what it is you’re looking for, what the job actually entails, and at what areas you’re actually looking to have people work in: be clear in the job description or specify in the follow up email what areas daily work is expected to be performed in.

I worked at ERA Advertising full-time

    Pros

I worked at ERA for a little over a year and the entire experience was incredible. I had zero experience in sales or management but by the skills that I developed here changed the course of my career. I’ve never worked in a place that puts personal development and culture in front of the bottom line but it was truly refreshing to be able to put my primary focus on my own development and get paid to do it! I appreciate...
