I have been working at ERIKS group (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    good work life balance
Friendly people on the front lines

    Cons

Support functions control far too many things and controlling more each day--frontline not a concern as they build their empires
Impossible to get the resources you need on the front line to do your job like people and inventory to make the sales we are all tasked with achieving
IT systems fundamentally broken--need to be gutted and revamped
Full of accountability but no resources to achieve

    Advice to Management

Stop buliding your empires and listen to the front lines that drive your business. Give them the resources and tools to accomplish the lofty goals that there is no shortage of being handed out
Task if fine, but give the resources to accomplish those tasks, otherwise they are just unachievable tasks and goals only to be not delivered on in the near future

I worked at ERIKS group part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Freedom (because you work alone)

    Cons

Management, Salary, Job growth, literally run an industrial shop alone, almost zero concern or help from the 'hub"

    Advice to Management

Replace the robotic yes men who run the company

I have been working at ERIKS group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Trying to make ERIKS a true industry leader securing big business, safeguarding jobs and making sustainability a priority.

    Cons

Wanting to make all of these changes on a shoe string with little resource, putting vast amounts of pressure on existing staff. Cutting costs right back to support multi million pounds investments in not necessarily the best areas or using the right solutions.

    Advice to Management

Put your employees first and take off the blinkers

I have been working at ERIKS group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good support network, most people are friendly,
    Good training opportunities

    Cons

You have to question how some people ar still in jobs when they treat other colleagues badly.
IT department need to be sacked and start again. Out of date It infrastructure... you wouldn't believe the battle I had just to be able to read my work emails on my work Mobile phone!!!
Also the company cars could be better..

    Advice to Management

Review the IT policies and practices, and spend more time addressing issues faced by people on the front line.
We are often hindered by bad decisions made at head office, such as needing to book flights/hotels through the department PA, when we should be trusted to do this ourselves saving time and money! The decision was made with no input from the people it affects most.
CEO should take part in undercover boss- it would be an eye opener I'm sure.
Also, reward your employees for good work- I have had bonus four times in 11 years, despite often achieving over my targets!!

I worked at ERIKS group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very professional. Interesting work across varied disciplines and industries. Good atmosphere and friendly colleagues. Good working conditions and location.

    Cons

Work could be a little repetitive at times depending on what customers you were supporting. Not many middle management opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Could be more communication within all levels of the business. Could possibly also consider the ideas of lower level employees. On the whole a good experience working there.
