I have been working at ES3 full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Exercise, operate robots, utilize problem solving skills, only work 3.5 days a week, opportunities for overtime, holiday pay, rewards for attendance, non-paid time off, sick/personal days, paid time off after one year, benefits including health and life insurance and 401k options

    Cons

Understaffed in this department, equipment is high maintenance, hot and humid work space, moderate to high physicality, 12 hour shifts

    Advice to Management

PM the robots more often, invest in further modernizing the systems (both hardware and software), hire management from within the department, have HK do better quality control on pallets sent to ACP.

I have been working at ES3 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The leadership is very fixated on doing the right thing, big picture business decisions are made with long term growth in mind, lots of opportunity to grow into leadership roles, at least two directors started out as fork truck drivers and have some of the most insightful views of the business I've ever seen in leaders at that level. This company is bristling with analytics and the most effective continuous improvement implementation I've ever seen.

    Cons

High hourly employee turnover is a constant problem causing a constant "learning curve" situation, a large spend on training. Since it is a privately held company there is no profit sharing or stock options. Due to the size of the company the benefits are not as good as some of the bigger companies in the central PA area. There is still dental, medical, vision etc, just not super great prices. Company runs 24/365, no breaks and some people don't take vacations or feel like they can't and get burned out.

    Advice to Management

Continue to build the first line supervisors (first level of management) in the company with formal management training and mentoring and the turnover will lessen! Lots of hourly people quitting because their bosses (youngest managers) don't really know how to be good leaders yet.
