    Pros

The TWACS technology of ESCO technologies (Aclara PLS) is both interesting and challenging to work on. The people are also hard-working and generally easy to work with.

    Cons

The forward vision of the technology, software and integration of the various businesses (Aclara PLS, Aclara Software, Aclara RF) seems disjoint. The marketing / sales communication with the technical teams also leaves something to be desired.

    Advice to Management

The company has a tendancy to get lost in the distractions of the moment and the next quarters' earning rather than putting together a solid long-term vision and sticking to it. Also, communicate much sooner about things like changes in reviews, benefits, contract renewals of temporary staff, etc. It all seems to come last minute

    Pros

Great place to work, good people, mostly you are left to get on with your work in a clean working environment.

    Cons

ESCO is in the process of moving the Aclara manufacturing facility to Mexico and have put Aclara up for sell. Such is the greed of corporate America.

    Advice to Management

Your short term personal gains will be made from taking the jobs of good hard working Americans, may you choke on the benefits of your greed.

    Advice to Management

Privatize Management, leave Mr. Espinosa as CEO and President

    Pros

Very interesting technology, a lot of research

    Cons

People are narrow and unencouraging at times; older workers at times very difficult and arrogant. Human resources was insincere with how they interacted with me.
