      Pros

Work Remotely Danaher Benefits New CEO Corporate travel card versus personal expense and reimbursment Depending on your manager little to zero communication, which leads to flexibility and little micromanagement (Until revenue targets are missed)

      Cons

      Advice to Management

North America management needs to listen to the individual contributor as they are performing the work. Provide internal training to stay relevant in the required industries.

I have been working at ESKO full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

The company has many dedicated employees that have been with Esko for many years. Some are about to retire and have been there their entire career.

      Cons

The company was acquired by Danaher a few years ago. It feels like there is a lot of pressure from the top to make changes to increase profits at all costs (to both employees and customers). Frequent hiring freezes limits the ability to replace employees that leave or get promoted, forcing the existing staff to take up the slack.

      Advice to Management

The US management is doing a pretty good job with the situation and seem to have their subordinates best interest in mind. If the upper management in Europe and at Danaher would allow the company to go year or two without any profit growth and focus on hiring and training to restore the under staffed company to full staff level, it would lead to better long term viability.

I worked at ESKO for more than 2 years

      Pros

Plenty of freedom, the company has a large market share with the Cyrel Digital Imaging products.

      Cons

Field individuals can be alone with little support and documentation is not ISO certified nor shared within the organization. Management does not encourage open communication and chain of command is an after thought. The Danaher and Esko exchange needs vast improvement. A do as I say not as do style of corporate culture is prevalent.

      Advice to Management

Encourage more communication and demand standardization of procedures. Exhibit a willingness to want continuous change and improvement. More teambuilding for field service employees.

      I worked at ESKO full-time

      Pros

I was lucky enough to have a wonderful boss along with some great coworkers. It was great to learn about this industry and attend so many industry trade shows and events. I definitely learned a lot that has helped greatly in my career. It's a good sized company that offers great benefits and allowed me to travel quite a bit.

      Cons

It was tough to work for a company who's headquarters was based overseas, simply because you don't feel quite as involved. They didn't focus quite enough on the customer experience, which I believe could have made this company stand out among the competition.

      Advice to Management

Create a career goal/plan with your employees and stick to it! Make sure they are happy with the work they are doing and that they are advancing not only to improve your business, but to improve themselves as well.

      Pros

Great people to work with, benefits and vacation time.

      Cons

Not much room to advance, hiring freezes, low morale, and management doesn't even know who you are!

      Advice to Management

Get to know your employees and listen to what they have to say! Encourage them to be better not knock them down. Everything is not based around sales.
