I worked at ETX Capital full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some great people there, market rate salary with standard benefits package.

    Cons

I have seen the company go through several board changes over the last few years and the atmosphere has changed 180 degrees. People keep leaving or mysteriously disappear and they are not being replaced with new ones, believing that somehow the ones that remain will be able to take more and more. Every time there have been regulatory changes that could impact business revenue the board solution was to cut costs by laying people off. Chances of promotion or recognition are minimal. Lots of pressure and a very stressful environment. If you are full of energy and enthusiastic person, then no worries - "we'll wear you out". The race is to cut costs lately across the business so the only way of using the latest and greatest out there is for that to bring some other financial benefit as well. Careful who you talk to or what you do, your boss might remind you that on your next meeting.
