    Pros

EXIGIS is quickly expanding its product base and is enhancing its technology which makes it an exciting environment to be a part of.

Friendly personnel and cordial company culture create great work environment.

I have worked at this company for a few years and can say that commitment and hard work are always appreciated and rewarded. You will be evaluated fairly based on the work that you do.

This company cares about its customers and focuses on making a difference in the software/risk management industry.

    Cons

Typical hurdles of a small company in a growing, high-demand industry (but nothing to be afraid of)

    I worked at EXIGIS full-time

    Pros

Cannot come up with a single item

    Cons

Hideously incompetent management, prone to passive and active verbal abuse; lacking foresight and prone to over-promising to clients and then pushing the employees to the point of breaking in order to (not) deliver on those promises, which should leave any honest person with a bitter taste in their mouth

    Advice to Management

Replace yourselves OR start treating people fairly and not merely as vehicles for your own financial gain; but mostly replace yoursleves

I have been working at EXIGIS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Sky is the limit when it comes to learning at this company. There are so many avenues to explore, so many ideas to try out and everyone is so willing to try out new things. At least I can vouch that the Engineering team gets the opportunity to work on the latest technologies and also gets a taste of proprietary software. Perks associated with the job are a free gym membership, snacks and a day in the week to work remotely. The team is small and great! The growth prospects of this company is great and it has maintained a steady track record.

    Cons

This company has the usual disadvantages of a small company. Sometimes deadlines are steep and processes are not documented. But there are bigger problems in other small sized companies

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great working and lets take EXIGIS to the next higher level.

I worked at EXIGIS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Signing bonus, solid compensation if deemed as a hard worker, onboarding program, Summer Fridays

    Cons

Haphazard reviews in which employees are all but literally thrown under the bus without receiving any previous warnings
8am start time with 0 flexibility - secretary at front desk manually writes down the time you walk past your desk, any time (8:01am or later) after is directly handed off to company CEO, see insane and numerous time-tracking policies below
Scare tactics - CEO stomps around office looking over employees shoulders - walks past and does not acknowledge *unliked* employees but will
Stringent internal rules and regulations - countless "presentations" by admin about Big Brother-esque policies, i.e. internet usage, attire on winter vs. summer days (down to tights and shoe preferences that must be strictly abided by), insane time tracking procedures and software mandated by upper management
Boys club atmosphere - while there is slight upward mobility possible for women, every single upper management position is occupied by a man with absolutely no signs of change
Turnover rate (~30%) - unhappy employees leave in what seems like a vicious cycle of hiring-quiting/firing-hiring-repeat

Leaving EXIGIS for a more positive, flexible, yet more challenging environment was the best decision I ever made for myself, this is not an exaggeration, but the truth. Do yourself a favor and do not ignore the numerous negative reviews on this site as they are here for a reason.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and shape up your management to be at least a little bit with the times - flexibility, respect, and accountability amongst all staff at EXIGIS will do the company wonders.

Do not ignore the blatant signs of high turnover, miserable employees, and tyrannical management.

    Pros

Free coffee and tea. Casual dress everyday. 401k program. Must be employee for minimum 1 year before you are elegible to participate in the 401k program. Work from home every Friday. All non-managerial employees have formed a "family" in which they can sympathize with and look out for each other's best interest.

    Cons

Managers are ineffective at communicating and managing their teams. Work starts at 8, arriving at work 1 minute late will earn you a mark of tardiness and you will receive negative repersussions, likewise for leaving a few minutes early. Non paid lunch. No accolades received for beginning work early or staying late. Punishment management style employed by upper management has serious negative impact on employees. If something goes wrong, all blame is shifted to lower level employees which are then "punished" with meanial tasks and impossible deadlines, often resorting in being forced to stay very late for projects that have little to no impact on company matters and which are often discarded once completed. Poor internal technology infrastructure. Your performance and commitment to the company is measured often by how late you stay, not the quality of the work you complete. Many company policies are old fashioned. Fresh out of college hires are promoted to manage and oversee seasoned employees with more experience. CEO and managers alike give projects with unrealistic deadlines, with little to no knowledge of the technical aspects that go into the project, making it near impossible to have an intelligent conversation with them about it. Customers report bugs that are very frequently brushed under the rug, and forgotten about until customers bring them up again. Customer service often has no answers for unhappy customers due to lack of being in the business loop and bugs never getting fixed. The pay is low. Job descriptions not accurate, employees often tasks with multiple job title functions and running multiple different departments. Recent graduates steer clear. Very stressful, non-welcoming work environment is driving employees out of the company. Very large turn over rate. Very unorganized.

    Advice to Management

Focus on your core products, your bread and butter, make them perfect, then begin branching out to new ideas. Without a strong foundation, the EXIGIS house will crumble. Start treating your employees less like pawns on a chess board and more like a valuable asset to your company and its future. If this continues, you will have a hard time finding and keeping employees which are the core of your business.

I have been working at EXIGIS full-time

    Pros

You work near Times Square, your coworkers will sympathize with your unhappiness, and you can list your experience on your resume.

    Cons

The CEO runs his business haphazardly: projects are not completed but stopped, replaced with higher priority projects, then forgotten. He is condescending and egotistical and does not care for others' opinions. Although it is a software company, it seems no sufficient testing is done. Training new hires is not organized or sufficient. Any security is of no concern. All new hires and interns (hired almost exclusively from a Philadelphia University) are promised a rotation program which is only referenced as an excuse for moving an employee when they are of little use in their current department. There are no 'perks' and the turnover rate is astounding. Management has no concern for employees besides their production rate. Most employees are actively looking for employment elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Try to care about your employees instead of only your bottom line.

I worked at EXIGIS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

opportunity for transition, however, transition is usually a result of poor managerial decisions that leave employees hanging and the only thing they can think of to do is shuffle people around

    Cons

    - witnessed verbal, physical altercations between employees
    - management routinely threatened to fire staff over minor issues
    - so much money wasted on a daily basis
    - poor business decisions leading to angry customers, all blame was shifted to low-level employees

    Advice to Management

Threats, low wages and poor time management coupled with long hours and little vacation are not morale boosters.

    Pros

Opportunities to experience may different areas of the business. This unfortunately is a manifestation of poor managerial planning and vision so individuals are required to flee to different areas of the company as fires arise.

    Great product concept

    Cons

Poor management oversight and ineffectual communication techniques. Secretive style where the hiring strategy is to train incoming graduates so that they are effective in Exigis but will not gain enough skills to be attractive to any other company. This is their strategy to curb employee turnover. I would watch out if I was a recent graduate being pursued by this company. Rotation program was designed with this philosophy in mind.

Witnessed physical and verbal threats between employees.

Employees always having to make up for sales team over committing or selling a product that didn't actually exist.
