I have been working at EY full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work from home, great bonuses and salaries. Mixed with lots of different people. Options to work on projects within other groups

    Cons

The structure can sometimes be rigid and bonuses slim depending on the year. Lots of admin work done by the teams which is not billable

    I worked at EY full-time

    Pros

Good learning opportunities. You can take on more challenging responsibilities year over year. Lots of firm events and happy hours.

    Cons

Bad work life balance. Ridiculous amount of bonus. Bad rating system where your accomplishments and hard work don't get recognized.

I worked at EY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing people I will have in my life forever

Company values, including those toward employees

    Flexibility

Networking and potential to make connections all over the world if you choose to use the firm that way

    Cons

You’ll get paid market rate for your rank/title but with 200,000+ employees it has to be that way I suppose

Can feel like you’d make more of an impact outside EY

Sheer size of the company can make you feel slotted into a role that’s very specific/boring

    Advice to Management

    My management was amazing

As hard as it must be, try to truly incentivize people who go above and beyond

    Pros

    Great company culture.
    Great medical insurance (PPO).
    Flexible work arrangements.
Opportunity to work with talented smart professionals.
    Great resume buster.

    Cons

    15 days of vacation 👎🏼
No 401k contribution during the first year of employment 👎🏼👎🏼
After the long year wait, there’s a 5 year vesting period.

I worked at EY (More than 10 years)

  9. "Great for partner track only. All others be wary!"

    StarStarStarStarStar
Current Employee - Associate Director in New York, NY
Current Employee - Associate Director in New York, NY

I have been working at EY full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexibility and diversity / inclusiveness are great, especially if in any minority. You get to put much emphasis on your personal life and aspirations.

    Cons

All the slack created by the flexibility and diversity has to be picked up by someone, because the partners will NOT let their bottom line worsen. So if you're one of the hard workers with a conscience, LOOK OUT because you'll take up the slack for those who want time off to train for marathons, etc.
