I worked at EY full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great company to have on your CV - Opportunity to develop your skills taking the courses available- The majority of people are amiable and approachable.

    Cons

Very political - Old school processes - Too many bosses - Not very fair atmosphere, some staff, at the same level, have more - clear- privileges than others.

    Advice to Management

Walk the talk and be open to diversity not only on social media. Promote woman, international staff and people who think different- based on performance, skills, and ability, not in anything else.

    Pros

wide scope of the job helps to develop plenty of skills, really good team atmosphere, young and diverse culture within the firm is something I wasn't expecting

    Cons

there aren't many, possibly more leadership from the higher ups could be improved upon and then introduction of overtime and TOIL would be a big help

I worked at EY full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Fast career progression Study support for ACA exams

    Cons

Zero work life balance (in audit) - including working weekends unpaid, work not stopping when you come home No overtime Salary not commensurate with Dublin cost of living, or hours/demands of the job High staff turnover (audit) due to low morale Unrealistic deadlines for audits placed on staff

    Advice to Management

Stop paying lip service to work life balance and and actually work to help improve things. Staff suggestions fall on deaf ears from management.

I have been working at EY full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Everyone who works there is fantastically nice and lovely to work with

    Cons

Starting as a graduate its meant to be a training programme you are going into however you are sent out for long stints on the same clients for sometimes 2 years - not gaining any new skills and they dont care if you have nothing to do down there as long as your chargeable. Losing staff like no tomorrow and dont seem to care about it. Would not recommend working here as a graduate

    Advice to Management

Honestly look into your staff retention - there's a reason why you are losing everyone
