I have been working at EY full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A big 4 is a great place to start a career and I've had some fantastic experiences and exposure to senior members of clients that I likely wouldn't get elsewhere.

    Cons

You have to play a very political game if you're going to succeed. Associates' career goals are not taken seriously and they are often left on projects in areas of little to no interest to them for long periods of time. Requests to move or specialise are ignored and advice often takes the form of "keep the head down and climb the ladder". Not much focus is put on job satisfaction.

    Pros

Amazing teams, and senior management are working beside you and not in personal offices. Really friendly work environment, where you can ask any question and get a detailed response. Compensation is better than other big 4 internships. Good perks like free gym, nights out, training days, etc....

    Cons

sometimes the work can be monotonous (but that's to be expected)
