    Pros

Networking, training, developement from certain executives. Developmed contacts I still speak with

    Cons

Not every exec shares the mentor ideal. Kool aid can make insiders blind

    Advice to Management

Top talent leaves for better opps. Average people stay to executive level and their ability to manage often lacks. Need to spend time developing mentors.

    Pros

Team is very flexible when it comes to work-life balance (except for busy season), people working at this firm are very nice and helpful. Work we do is very challenging and therefore it is always helpful to have someone who can mentor you. Good team, diverse team and get to travel lot of good places

    Cons

Working hours are high specially in busy season and you are expected to work 12 hours a day, as you move on the ladder you have to prove you are good due to lot of competition. Compensation does not do justice to amount of work you do

I have been working at EY full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I really enjoyed working at EY as an intern. I worked with various clients such as healthcare and tech companies and I got to see how different companies work. Some of the work was monotonous but it didn't require huge brain work and my days were fairly routine. Pay was over $25/hour and the employees were very smart and the culture was super fun. We had a few social events such as golfing and we got to go to Orlando, Florida at the end of the summer for the Leadership Conference and for Disney World. EY also paid for a lot of lunches.

I got an offer towards the end but I'm still a little nervous about the dreaded busy seasons, which I didn't get to experience.

    Cons

There were slow days since it was during the summer and I spent two weeks at one point just hanging around the EY office. This is hardly a con for me though.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great internship experience.

I have been working at EY (More than 3 years)

    Pros

EY has good benefits, including a defined benefit pension. No other job would have given me so much exposure to C-suite clients than a Big 4 firm.

    Cons

Long hours...but that is to be expected. I can't really complain. EY was good to me.

I have been working at EY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Consistent, reliable schedule. Clear path of advancement within the firm. Coworkers have similar drive to succeed, motivation to advance and take on greater roles. Great opportunities to advance your career through international rotations, cross-service line training/transfers, etc.

    Cons

Due to the consistency of the schedule, actual work can become dull. Sometimes difficult to really see the value our work provides to the client.
