I have been working at EY full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Although EY can be a hard place to work the pros certainly outweigh the cons. EY is a very demanding job as far as expectations and that’s what makes it great. The learning opportunities as an assurance staff-manager are very beneficial. At EY you will quickly notice your abilities as an accountant will improve at a much faster rate than if you were in industry. You will be exposed to more processes, accounts... and industries than you would outside of the firm. I would also say the firm culture is a huge plus. Most people are very friendly and outgoing as well as competitive, which will push you to be your best every day.

    Cons

EY is a very demanding job. At times it will feel like you have to put your personal life on hold. Additionally, the pay can feel like it doesn’t match to your output. Especially at the staff level.

I have been working at EY full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Partners treat the interns great - always willing to make time in their schedule to grab coffee with an intern.

    Cons

Lots of hours, underpaid compared to other Big 4.

    Advice to Management

More engagement exposure at the intern level - does more to sell the intern on joining full-time.
