I have been working at EY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great training and benefits, competitive salary. I've gotten the opportunity to do work for some really interesting private equity firms.

    Cons

Busy season is extremely tough, expect 80-95 hour weeks for several months at a time. You may get staffed on clients with merging busy seasons.

    Advice to Management

Listen better, and improve tax technology. Jobs that should take a few hours can stretch to days due to excel crashing and new tools clearly having bugs even when fully rolled out to the practice.

I worked at EY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Get to work with various Fortune 500 clients even if you are a fresher
Bonus can be really great if you have a good rapport with the partner
Get to work on different kinds of IT auditing projects

    Cons

    No work life balance
Managers give unrealistic deadlines and expect you to finish projects within the time frame with no screw ups
Efficient people who finish their work in the office hours and leave on time are considered to be unenthusiastic in the eyes of seniors
Pay sucks given the amount of work load and responsibilities that are given
Freshers usually end up slogging during long working hours and hence, get no time to prepare for certifications, higher studies or be up to date with current affairs

    Advice to Management

Understand that employees have a life after office hours
Employees spending 15-17 hours in office aren't usually the most efficient and ideal employees
Increase the pay of fresh graduates. You just can't earn Rs.3,00,000/month from a client for a employee to whom you pay Rs. 2,50,000/year
