I have been working at EY full-time

    Pros

The firm is very accepting. It offers a chance to get a wide range of experience and work with career focused hard working people. Most people are with to teach and invest time in you if you ask. Ultimately your teammates want to see you succeed (on their team).

    Cons

Experience can depend on you team. The Cultural is very much it is better to be seen at work than seen working, meaning people care more about seeing you there at 7pm than actually seeing an impressive output of work.

    Advice to Management

It's okay to lose people to other service lines or industry within the service line. I think it there should be more a focus on how to lead people rather than how to manage people.

I have been working at EY full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are great people to work with and in general within the Big 4 they treat their people the best. The international network is great and you'll meet great people to work with. There are strong networks and you can carve out people to work with - excellent teaming - if you are with the right people.

    Cons

There is a lot of bureaucracy and favoritism. They try to make it seem like a meritocracy but it is not. Also, things move at snail pace and pretty much lags behind industry. There are a lot of office politics so you need to be very aware of the written rules and unwritten rules.

    Advice to Management

Compensate employees better. Treat raises and promotions seriously. People are not stupid.

New hires are lied to during the recruiting process about rotational roles
