I worked at EY full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

great learning environment; excellent team members willing to help you; ability to see lots of appraisals; helps you develop a structured form of EY-specific business writing

    Cons

get a good counselor or else or it could really be problematic down the line. If you don't bond with your counselor, be empowered to ask for a new one.

I have been working at EY full-time

    Pros

Incredible culture if you are in the mainstream organization-- Incredible opportunities for growth if you stick with it!

    Cons

Know that there are a ton of politics at play! Stick to the mainstream organization- don't join a "small/new" team- dangerous as the leaders there don't always uphold the same amazing EY culture that is so important!

    Advice to Management

Acquisitions are necessary but its important that the leaders of those 'acquisitions' learn the culture-- otherwise you will lose a lot of talent or have miserable employees

I have been working at EY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly atmosphere. Lenient and understanding supervisors. Good cafeteria.

    Cons

Poor organization of employees. Very easy to get "lost in the crowd."

    Advice to Management

Utilize feedback from people they are supervising rather than just keeping things status quo. Assign work based on individuals' strengths and weaknesses.

I have been working at EY full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Ey heavily invest in developing it's people. EY's People Advisory Services practice is developing some very innovative forward-looking perspectives on employee engagement and how employers should interact with employees to drive positive productivity

    Cons

Inadequate, confusing and inconsistent bonus system makes it very hard to understand what needs to be done to earn a bonus. Base pay is decent but you should not count on consistently getting a bonus even if your performance is strong bonus criteria seems very very discretionary and the amounts are not truly meaningful

    Advice to Management

Fix your compensation system Kama especially ability for high performers to receive meaningful bonuses

I have been working at EY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible schedule
Lots of time for vaca / sick days
    Nice people
Brand name of EY on your resume

    Cons

Absolutely horrible projects, everything is boring and uninteresting tasks where you come in and repeat the same AML stuff over and over. A high schooler could be taught to do this job. In addition, the pay is extremely low for EY standards. Most people I know that work in the Jacksonville office are already looking for other jobs, or are waiting for their one year mark so they don't have to pay back their signing bonus. In addition, you don't learn that many transferrable skills. Only reason to stay here would be is if you love AML/Compliance.

    Advice to Management

Give top talent a quicker way into real advisory, or you will lose them.
