I have been working at EY full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Marketable experience, constant learning and growth, great networking, impressive on a resume

    Cons

Long hours, below market pay for people with a Masters Degree (consistent with all Big 4), bonuses low in comparison to industry, non-negotiable salaries, promotions based off timing not competence

    Advice to Management

Raise salaries to remain competitive with industry. Higher performance based bonuses beginning with staff, and promote based off of merit and competence not timing

I have been working at EY full-time

    Pros

    Respected Name
    Good Clients
    Decent Work Life Balance
    Senior Management is Good

    Cons

    Boring Work
The firm is filled with very difficult personalities. You will meet many great people who leave shortly and a few very difficult personalities at lower levels. However, once these difficult personality employees reach a level where they have to manage people, they leave quickly. The top is a good group. Its a shame the few sucky make the experience so painful for many.

By "difficult personality" i mean the type of person in college who complained that a professor canceled class or let you out 5 minutes early.

    Advice to Management

    Hire more likable people.

I worked at EY as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people is the main reason which keeps me at EY. The people here are really friendly, and long after my internship ended, I still contacted my former bosses, checked up frequently on them, and went out to lunches with them. The engagement teams were small enough for you not to feel left out; and everyone treats interns as real staff and gives interns serious projects. I enjoyed my time at EY because I was given chances to do things the way I wanted to under my bosses' helpful guidance.

    Cons

Small teams can be a pro, but also can be regarded as a major con. The office is rather small and not as diverse as I expected it to be.
