    Pros

    - Great Culture
    - Talented people
    - Massive emphasis on training and development
    - Chance to get a lot of responsibility very early in your career
    - Great offices in great locations
    - Truly global company

    Cons

    - Hours could be very long
    - Bonus is almost non-existent (someone has to pay for the new building!)
    - Some projects might last over a year, so it feels like you are not part of EY anymore
    - High staff turnover
    - Once you have done a certain type of a project it might be difficult to get involved with anything else.

    Advice to Management

    - to senior management: have a bit more time for junior staff
    - bonuses are essential in this competitive industry

    Pros

    Great people, great experience. Lots of stretching opportunities. EY London is very diverse and is a very people oriented firm. They are making changes to encourage agile working.

    Cons

    Salaries within Assurance is poor. Promotion process is very political and not transparent. Working hours can be long depending on what project you're on.

    Ambiguity in appraisal and progression
    Risk appetite is low, risk takers consistently get burnt at year end
    Pay bands are not designed to cater to experienced hires

    Advice to Management

    Recognise that the business need to change and encourage and reward those who trying new models of engagement with industry and clients. Step out of the dark ages of annual appraisal cycle comparing people who are unique in their capabilities and experience. Complement fantastic communication with action on the ground.
