I have been working at Eagle Transport full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good life and work balance (home regularly). Uniform allowance helps a lot for boots and clothing. Management at terminal will help you where they can. Promoting from within is a good thing. Safety man has driven for years and understands the job. It's wrong to see him as just an ex trainer. Safety is directed by head office and policy changes come from them too. As you would expect, things can change quickly sometimes. Pointing blame at an individual might make you feel better about yourself but, doesn't make it right.

    Cons

Not sure about any deal breakers at this time.

    Advice to Management

Being stricter on drivers than similar companies/federal law allows isn't always a good thing.

I worked at Eagle Transport full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You will just have a JOB!

    Cons

Drivers beware of this company!!! They tell you that you can make good funds only if you are apart of the click! The dispatch will give you loads that cause you to over on your hours even when you try to tell them that it would. The terminal manager don't care about the drivers at all. They use their drive cam to micromanage their employee.

    Advice to Management

Please take a look at how you are treating your employee within your company. You have some terminal manager and dispatcher that are in the wrong position. They pay really need to be looked at for the type of hazardous job that we do! Please don't use your drive cam as a weapon on good drivers.

I have been working at Eagle Transport full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Pay, Great Benefits, Great Terminal Staff, Very Very Little Sitting Around.

    Cons

The Kingsport Safety Man making you sign a job threatening form for every little issue. We get it, we can be fired, sign the paper once for the year and let us be. Other than the safety ding-a-ling, awesome family oriented company.

    Advice to Management

Do not promote a safety guy over a terminal where they hired and taught drivers for one thing, then write them up for the same things they taught. Bad business ethics, demoralizes and adds unwanted stress to drivers, creates a hostile work environment which can become a legal matter.

I have been working at Eagle Transport full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Consistent loads throughout the year. Well maintained equipment, terminal manager has your back.

    Cons

Money could always be better, but TM has bent over backwards to help improve that. Recent pay increases make job more bearable.

    Advice to Management

Keep terminal managers in place that understand what we need and everything else will work itself out. I am very pleased right now with this job.

I worked at Eagle Transport full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Supervisor and management are good people. Coworkers and dispatch are helpful and respectful. Very good training program. Local delivery home daily

    Cons

Long 12 hour shifts. The pay is not consistent with the work performed. This should be a hourly wage position not piece work. Equipment is old and worn-out.

    Advice to Management

Need to take a look at your pay scale and change your business model. This company will always have problems keeping good drivers

I have been working at Eagle Transport full-time

    Pros

I've been there close to 3 years. Best trucking job I've had. Home time is weekly (not weekends usually) Money is good, miles are decent. Good benefits

    Cons

Pay is not consistent week by week. One week check is good next not so much. Communication in the office is poor. You have to be pro-active with the customers to make your life easier.

    Advice to Management

    Better communication to the drivers.

I have been working at Eagle Transport full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Professional, respectful, excellent communication, good equipment and good co- workers. There is a "team" atmosphere that facilitates success rather than people working against each other.

    Cons

I personally don't have any negative experiences with this company. The nature of the job itself has some cons but that has no reflection on this company whatsoever.

    Advice to Management

I've been in the trucking industry for 27 years. Having said that, I know of a few "bad Apples" out there and, your not one of them. Keep up the good work! I'm truly impressed with Eagle. I look forward to continuing success! Thanks for all you do!
