I have been working at Eagle Transport full-time

    Pros

I've been there close to 3 years. Best trucking job I've had. Home time is weekly (not weekends usually) Money is good, miles are decent. Good benefits

    Cons

Pay is not consistent week by week. One week check is good next not so much. Communication in the office is poor. You have to be pro-active with the customers to make your life easier.

    Advice to Management

    Better communication to the drivers.

I have been working at Eagle Transport full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Professional, respectful, excellent communication, good equipment and good co- workers. There is a "team" atmosphere that facilitates success rather than people working against each other.

    Cons

I personally don't have any negative experiences with this company. The nature of the job itself has some cons but that has no reflection on this company whatsoever.

    Advice to Management

I've been in the trucking industry for 27 years. Having said that, I know of a few "bad Apples" out there and, your not one of them. Keep up the good work! I'm truly impressed with Eagle. I look forward to continuing success! Thanks for all you do!

I have been working at Eagle Transport full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

For the most part it's steady all year round nothing giving to you have to earn everything you get

    Cons

401k sucks and if you have to miss a day out of work the world would end

    Advice to Management

Better 401k match and sick days are giving for a reason is not the end of the world if a driver has to miss a day

    Pros

Great pay and trucks were normally new(ish). Uniforms provided and benefits are half way descent. Really appreciate their driver at this terminal.

    Cons

Didn't like slip seating. Most drivers were fairly descent but a few would leave trash in the truck after shift. I was not crazy about the dispatching system then. Alot of favouritism.

I worked at Eagle Transport full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Was able to gain valuable skills and broaden my knowledge of dispatching that allowed me to enhance my skills and help me to work away from driving and more towards a management role within the transportation industry

    Cons

No opportunity for advancement and no opportunity to make more money and very little incentive to stay because upper management puts very little importance on employees and more on making money

    Advice to Management

Make a more team centered environment and try to give a healthy incentive to those employees that work hard and are team oriented

I have been working at Eagle Transport (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent equipment with good pay and benefits if your not lazy. Paid well for the amount of work you do and enough home time to be able to enjoy it and still have a life. Fair dispatch, excellent management from the TM all the way up to the President of the company. Executives are very in touch with the happenings of the day to day operations and treat every driver with respect. Eagle is the best company I have ever driven for by far.

    Cons

This is an excellent company and only cons I see are the negative reviews unfairly left on glassdoor by individuals who are obviously disgruntled. From what I have seen first hand the ones that leave Eagle unhappy are the same ones who were constantly having to be told to do their job.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing you've built a great company that seems to get better every year.

I have been working at Eagle Transport full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

You can make good money if you are willing to work.
They pay by the load not per hour.
The load dispatchers are nice and very helpful.
Management work with you when you need time off.
And if you need more work they will give it to you when they have it.

    Cons

Best job I ever had! 👍🏿
You can't be lazy in this job expect to work 12 to 14 hours a day. Once you get better and faster you can reduce the amount of hours you work a day.
Loads that took me 13 hours to do when I first started 6 months ago now takes me 10 hours to complete. Never rush when handling fuel take your time and learn how to do the job and the speed will come naturally.

    Advice to Management

Hire better truck mechanics that are willing to work and take their job seriously.
