I worked at Earls Kitchen + Bar part-time for less than a year

    Pros

It's a nice place so if atmosphere/having a fancy dress code really matters to you then I'd recommend it. Seems to be a popular option for college kids who like to eat there because they get half off meals.

    Cons

You start at a very low wage and you don't get tips as a host (which is not normal for hosting) and the company likes to convince you that they really care about you but, like most restaurants, Earl's really doesn't care too much about lower level employees. You will get very overwhelmed quickly and management will not do much to support you. Also, you have to wear dress shoes and your feet will HURT. Management will say that the Earl's team is a "family," but family goes out the door when you have been standing in heels for 7 hours straight and have yet to receive a break.
