I have been working at Earth Fare as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is friendly. I am always greeted by smiling faces and kind words. I really enjoy coming in every morning!

    Cons

I really can not complain. In all honesty the only issue I have experienced is that their coorporate building is a little far away from food places... but other than that they stock food in the coorporate location that employees can buy... so no complaints.

    Advice to Management

Keep on do a great job. I see so many kind faces and am greeted with so many kond eords that it is an honpur to get to come to work everyday. By the way the coffee is great!

    Pros

Great people, all very passionate about what the company does to promote healthy living. A lot of growth that will bring opportunities for good people.

    Cons

Some very long term employees feel their personal wants should come before serving customers properly.

I worked at Earth Fare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I could show my personality at Earth Fare (EF) and wear what I wanted. The pay was good and my co-workers were awesome! I loved working at Earth Fare. Being a cashier I was always busy but it was fun not boring. The customers were great too. They were flexible with hours and availability. EF works with you and days I requested off, I usually got to have.

    Cons

Earth Fare is always busy. Teamwork and communication can be a problem at times and they are usually under-staffed. Overlapping Scheduling could be better.

I have been working at Earth Fare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone gets paid sick days based on how many hours they've worked. After one year, employees get up to 1 week of paid vacation (based on hours worked). After two years employees get 2 weeks paid vacation and so on. Decent pay, yearly reviews/raise, flexible hours, 401k plans, dental/vision and health insurance available for full-time employees. Team members get a short break every 2 hours they work. Great staff, overall decent customers to deal with and a laid back, casual atmosphere. Overall, one of the best places I've worked!

    Cons

Like with any retail job there are always going to be some difficult customers. ( The negative customers seem to have this sense of entitlement). Sometimes the expected work load is unrealistic based on the allowed time frame.

I worked at Earth Fare part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They were very flexible with my availability.
I attended college at the same time.
    The coworkers were great.
There was always something to do, whether it was in your department or another.

    Cons

Management would sometimes have you perform menial tasks if you were not busy in your department.
You will be expected to work hard.
    The store is also understaffed.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend that management hire some more people because it seemed like the employees were getting overworked whenever I left.

I have been working at Earth Fare full-time

    Pros

Much experience is gained here. The opportunities to go up the ladder are vast if willing to relocate and stay dedicated. There is always a helping hand.

    Cons

I haven't had or seen any downsides. Very open minded and

    Advice to Management

There is so much talent that remains unseen. It would be beneficial to understand the needs of a lower volume store and its capacity. Just listen to them a little more. They are not big proffitt makers, but many losses can be prevented, and the bleeding of money can be stopped.

I worked at Earth Fare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Bakery is easy to work in, store discounts, nice employees, management friendly and fun to work with. Loved working there!! Hamburger and prime rib night always a success!

    Cons

Forgot that they need to sell more food. Keep taking food away, customers going elsewhere. Bakery went from scratch made products to baking a few items now . All seems lost. Hope not.

    Advice to Management

Learn what employees do, get involved more. Fix the deli and bakeries. Not retaining employees. Corporate is not really aware of other great products out there to sell in departments. Go to food shows. Take some advice if seasoned employees who have worked elsewhere. Learn something new.
