I worked at Earth Fare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Worked with good people. Hot bar was good most of the time. Some seemed to really care about what they were doing

    Cons

No support from management in store or higher. Half the department managers were stoned most of the time. Poor morale. Inconsistent treatment of employees by store manager, who couldn't manage his way out of a wet paper bag

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the stores. Let them operate. Don't micromanage

I worked at Earth Fare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I could show my personality at Earth Fare (EF) and wear what I wanted. The pay was good and my co-workers were awesome! I loved working at Earth Fare. Being a cashier I was always busy but it was fun not boring. The customers were great too. They were flexible with hours and availability. EF works with you and days I requested off, I usually got to have.

    Cons

Earth Fare is always busy. Teamwork and communication can be a problem at times and they are usually under-staffed. Overlapping Scheduling could be better.

I have been working at Earth Fare part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Earth Fare is a grocery store that focuses on being good to the earth. It uses local produce, meat and dairy and carries no GMO or artificially flavored or colored items. The people who work here are wonderfully nice and helpful.

    Cons

The only down side to working here is that corporate doesn't really care at all for the needs of their employees, resulting in poorly constructed methods for accomplishing tasks.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with the front end employees and the department heads!!! They know best what everyone needs to make the store better.

    Pros

Most fellow employees were fun to work with. relatively flexible schedules

    Cons

corporate really has no idea what they are doing. policies and procedures would change on a weekly basis. spent no money on advertising (in columbus at least) then blamed stores for drop in sales.

    Advice to Management

your employees are people and deserve to be treated as such

I have been working at Earth Fare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company has a respectable vision. Depending on the location, there is a great opportunity to develop a strong community among coworkers.

    Cons

There is a general disrespect for employees. New and seasoned employees both are expected to work well beyond what should be expected (especially for the low pay).

    Advice to Management

Focus on corporate-level operations and improve them! The lack of accountability for upper management is evident, and only creates confusion and more work for store-level people. Communication, communication, communication. Allow for thorough training of new employees, and hold upper management accountable for maintaining smooth operations. And it wouldn't hurt to put a hold on expansion until you strengthen the stores you already have.

I worked at Earth Fare part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They were very flexible with my availability.
I attended college at the same time.
    The coworkers were great.
There was always something to do, whether it was in your department or another.

    Cons

Management would sometimes have you perform menial tasks if you were not busy in your department.
You will be expected to work hard.
    The store is also understaffed.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend that management hire some more people because it seemed like the employees were getting overworked whenever I left.
