    Pros

    Good pay and hours if operation for food service jobs.

    Cons

    Lazy coworkers. Horrible management. No respect from other departments. You get treated like you work at McDonald's.

    Advice to Management

    Clean house with managers from the top down. Find people who know how to work and can make the positive changes that need to happen. Make everyone earn their pay.

    I have been working at East Tennessee Children's Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits including health, dental ,vision, 403 B retirement plan . Rewarding job working with children. Direct management is great, but head management is about business and Durant make you feel appreciated. You can pick up extra shifts on different units if extra money is needed.

    Cons

    Get pulled to other floors, hours were cut for a couple of months due to budget constraints,, on call hours and weekends.

    Advice to Management

    Give better raises, and more employee incentives.

    Knowledgeable staff, easy to work with

    Cons

    Schedule was not easily changed. I've been worked with self scheduling and that worked better for our family

    Great job, values teamwork and keeps morale high

    Cons

    Over the past couple of years there have been cutbacks on staffing as a result of LEAN productivity analysis. The atmosphere is growing more and more corporate.

    Advice to Management

    Be mindful that cutting staffing too much leads to low employee morale and compromises patient safety.

    Pros

    Staff are motivated and really care for children. Management team involved in the community. Administration care for the staff, patients and families. Staff are making very good strides concerning diversity.

    Cons

    Slower than desired diversity in administration and management.
