I worked at East Tennessee State full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great place to work, great people to work with and for. Good hours and excellent benefits for the area. Great time off.

    Cons

Pay is very low for the amount of work. Pay raises do not occur annually and only occur when the state of Tennessee provides a raise to all. Amount of work, time of service, and other job responsibilities do not affect pay. There is also times when it is understaffed, and the hiring process is so lengthy that the times between hiring when a person resigns from their position leaves those left in a struggle.

    Advice to Management

Better pay, and more organized training, and better staffing.

I worked at East Tennessee State full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I would have rated it a 1 star except that the State 401k plan and health insurance are great coverage.

    Cons

The pay scale used isn't the greatest and politics hinders people from doing their job and prevents them from growing.

    Advice to Management

    Grow up.
