    Pros

One of the best Multi-national bank with a true focus on both it's internal and external customers.

    Cons

A niche bank that targets relationship with a focus on bridging the gap between East and West. This may not be an opportunity for all bankers in the US.

I have been working at East West Bank full-time

    Pros

EWB is still a fairly small bank, so if you have a drive to pave your own road and make a difference, this is the place for you.

    Cons

Some processes and desktop procedures are not firm, so there are times when things are ambiguous.

I worked at East West Bank full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The bank will provide development opportunities for individuals that are talented and willing to base their life around the bank.

    Cons

Work/life balance does not exist. If you are unwilling to commit to a 60 hour work week, your options are to either stay in a clerical role or leave.

    Advice to Management

Internal political maneuvering is harming the banks work culture. Emphasize the one bank theme and replace a couple senior VPs in TMS that are focused on building kingdoms rather than supporting an overall bank culture.

I worked at East West Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company offers great benefits (401K, pension, stock purchase, life insurance, dental, vision, health). East West Bank is a stable company and continues to grow every year. Yearly bonuses and salary raises are given. Management tries hard overall to lusten to your needs and EWB accomodates personal needs very well.

    Cons

Slow systems vs production demands makes production improvement harder.

    Advice to Management

Improve operational systems to enable employees to meet requested improvements in production.

    Pros

Nice offices, friendly faces, the headquarters in Pasadena is nice because you have City Hall right outside your window so it's quiet and clean.

    Cons

Work-life balance is not good. If you're young and looking for a fun, innovative and creative environment to work in, don't work here.
