I have been working at Eastman Kodak full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

People are friendly and pay for maintenance is good if you are technically certified. The chance to learn is available every day.

    Cons

There is a need to put money back into plate operations to sustain the future payroll. A lot of the money made by plate operations goes out to other sites that are not producing a product.

    Advice to Management

Let"s run the lines and when there is scheduled down time let's clean the process and use operators to their full potential. Create ownership in a QUALITY product.

I have been working at Eastman Kodak full-time

    Pros

Good working environment with fantastic coworkers. You won't find a better group of people here, everyone works as a family. The CEO is very forward thinking and is taking the company in a good direction.

    Cons

Wages remain stagnant and have for some time. Upgrading hardware and software is almost nonexistent, this company is still behind on revitalizing its capital. Upper management is disconnected with the workers, even if they try not to be.

    Advice to Management

Connect and listen to workers more, maintenance is on the ground and knows what needs to be done to keep this company running smoothly. Do everything you can to raise wages to stay competitive.

I have been working at Eastman Kodak full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Work independence, work from home when not at customer site, company car, some flexibility with work hours.

    Cons

While the pay is somewhat fair.., somewhat, there is little if no opportunity for raises once you reach your ceiling. The company is not always on a stable foundation and there is always a worry that another downsizing is in the horizon. No opportunity to move up. No school tuition reimbursement program. It's not the Kodak of old.., It's fingers are on a thin ledge.

    Advice to Management

From my limited viewpoint.., it appears that mistakes from the past are continued to be made.., Not enough sales people.., so not enough sales. Stagnant pay increases but I'm pretty sure the C Level get more than their share for the weak performance of this company. Even when management touts the gains of a quarter.., it's weak when compared to companies that are equal in size & scope of Kodak. I wouldn't recommend anyone to work for this company given the unknown environment of profitability of Kodak.
