The people are extremely friendly and courteous. Everything you do makes a difference in the product no matter what team you're on.

Cons

The company doesn't seem to be going in an up hill fashion, and so working here might not be a career fit.

For the person fresh out of college, it's a great experience because everyone has too much to do and they are glad to share the work with someone new. People are generally very friendly and extremely helpful. Since the company has been reducing labor by layoffs for a number of years, none of the people who remain are in any way slackers, everyone is cream of the crop. So there are lots of great role models and communication between fellow employees is usually exceptionally good. Pay is generally much better than average and EK looks good on your resume when you find that next job.

Cons

Generally, there is a huge atmosphere of doom and gloom because of all the downsizings and the company still has not "turned the corner" to financial stability and success. Morale is non-existent. Opportunity to move from one job to another is very limited unless you're one of the "chosen" who managers are promoting. The executive management act like they know what's going on, but company performance fails to support that act. That's depressing. The CEO, Antonio Perez, has been a very successful hatchet man, but as you might expect, hatchet men are not very good at inspiring the employees and providing vision. And his regard for his employees is less than stellar. I don't believe he even knows the definition of "empathy" let alone having any in his character. Though he'll say otherwise, the ONLY thing that matters to him is the bottom line; that's REALLY depressing.

Pros

They have lots of knowledgeable people who were able to help enhance my understanding of equipment through both wet and dry processes.

Cons

The different parts of the process are located in different buildings. Other buildings may not be as easy-going and kind as the people in my building.

Pros

Kodak is in a growth mode. There are many opportunities in multiple manufacturing areas besides traditional film. The people at Kodak are great to work with and very helpful to new employees.

Pay can be an issue for certain job types.

It paid well. The people were friendly and mazing to work with. They are very flexible.

Co-workers were fun to be around and my old supervisor really knew how to keep people motivated and enjoy being there.

Corporate had ridiculous expectations of the workers. Did not let you relax. Worked 11 hour days and was forced to take breaks equal to 4 hours so I was only paid for 7 of those hours. I was technically part time so working 35 hours in a week, corporate put me on a blacklist and demanded my supervisor cut my hours. Then when 3 separate employees complained they transferred him away and they replaced him with a supervisor that didn't know what he was doing. The employees that complained were problem people in the company anyways and were soon terminated so it showed that corporate did not conduct any investigation on the matter.

Pros

Very good work environment. Nice and helpful people. And the biggest plus of all the entire plant in a air conditioned.

missed the market. the idea of rebuilding sales after the lost of film with a ink jet never made any sense to me. I don't know what this company can do to keep going
