    Pros

Eastman promotes a safety-first culture because they truly care about their employees. There is opportunity for growth and resources to help develop employees to become more well rounded.

    Cons

It is a large company and when implementing change or changing strategy, it takes time to get the large wheel spinning.

    Advice to Management

Look for opportunities to move fast or eliminate steps when appropriate. Continue to develop and invest in young talent and look to deversify senior management.

    Pros

Great culture; very family-like. My department had a very community feel. A great foothold in the Kingsport community. I'm a big fan of the corporate responsibility initiatives that have been picking up speed as well; good stuff!

    Cons

They should invest in their younger employees more. Sometimes it feels like we get a little left by the wayside when we should be receiving opportunities for mentoring and the like. It would be nice to pick up some tips and lessons from employees who are more well-seasoned!

I worked at Eastman full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Eastman is a large company with well-established procedures which provide structured processes for the vast majority of business processes. They have well-established safety and HR policies and procedures.

    Cons

The large matrix organization is sometimes slow to make decisions. Competing objectives from different parts of the organization can make it difficult to balance resources and priorities.
