I have been working at Eaton full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Large Organisation, Facilities , Benefits and Compensations

    Cons

Old school approach to problems resolution.
    Not complaint to standard processes.

    Advice to Management

Processes w.r.t to IT and Manufacturing are completely different. Should adapt standard processes like 6-Sigma/CMM for IT projects.

I worked at Eaton (Less than a year)

    Pros

I really enjoyed my job as well as most of my co-workers.
Flexible hours as well as flextime for those who could take it.

    Cons

Management cut me adrift for more than a year before letting me go, had a Supervisor but no department.
Constantly told management my replacement could not keep up after year and half of training, but they didn't listen to trainer only trainee.
My last Supervisor was too busy with everything else to be helpful when I needed help.
Building in was a dump for a Corporate building.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. While I understand you want 'teaching moments' when an employee says they need help, don't say, you write up an e-mail and copy me on it and forget about it.

    Pros

Thought it was a reputable, great company

    Cons

I was hired as a contract employee to work at Eaton for a leave for 90 days duration. I left another job for this great opportunity & pressured to resign right away, then told they didn't want me for another few weeks & left with no income during that time. Three days before I was to start, Eaton told them they wanted me to work 5 days, then be off for 3 weeks & then come back when the woman went out on maternity leave! I hadn't even known I'd be covering a maternity leave & I'd be without income for another 3 weeks! I'm a lower level employee with no savings and now I fear I will be homeless due to Eaton's lack of regard for my situation & not telling the agency this beforehand. We understood it to be 90 consecutive days. I am disheartened, dismayed, and cannot believe they would do this to someone.
