I have been working at Eaton full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work from home opportunity. 6 percent 401k match.

    Cons

Don’t work for Hydraulics HQ. Eaton HR promote managers that are unfit leaders but are yes men. Strong lack of diversity for very obvious reasons. If you express concern they will retaliate.

    Advice to Management

Quit looking the other way for your own benefit.

I have been working at Eaton as a contractor

    Pros

None that I can think of at this time.

    Cons

The individuals in the leadership roles throughout the plant are a joke. It's the blind leading the blind. Little to no emphasis on product quality or the customer. Business and quality practices are questionable at best. No self accountability among their employees or the leadership. The overall objective with this facility is to bring in a scapegoat for Eaton's errors in judgement. Absolutely no ownership of action(s). Integrity is nonexistent.

    Advice to Management

Attempt to use more than 0.3% of your brains. Focus on filling orders with a top of the line quality product instead of a questionable product. Hire quality employees that will put forth an effort and possess attention to detail instead of temps that will more than likely move on to a different client within a couple months. Invest in standardized training. Educate your employees on the processes and procedures for the assigned work stations. Look at your facility as an investment, not a numbers generator.

I have been working at Eaton full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent pay, if you are willing to move there are lots of opportunities.

    Cons

Lots of office politics, no communication between departments or from corporate. Annual raises not based upon performance. Horrible HR, Flex time not available in all department and even then is limited. Lots of recent layoff resulting in more work to be done by fewer people.

I have been working at Eaton full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Casual dress code is the best I can say

    Cons

Poor management, outsourcing everything to India, use the H-1B visa program for jobs that need to be US based. They are now "based" out of Ireland for tax reasons. Took away 401K match in 2016.

I have been working at Eaton full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great people. Challenging work at times. Opportunity to work on many things to get lots of experience.

    Cons

Lack of recognition of performance. No leadership, just inexperienced managers looking for short term gains. Big drain of senior leadership with years of experience has lead to loss of way.

    Advice to Management

Invest in organic growth. Listen to technical experts. Hire talented resources and look for long term success not quarterly. Spend money on real R&D.

I have been working at Eaton full-time

    Pros

Very laid back and easy going, if you don't get the issue fixed today there is always tomorrow.

    Cons

Doesn't value salary employees, investors come first for payout, benefits are horrible, turnover is unreal for salary employees

    Advice to Management

Get management that can actually do the job and knows something about business and engineering.

I have been working at Eaton full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    -Starting pay
    -nothing
    -nothing
-seriously there is nothing good about this place.

    Cons

    -Management...
-been on mandatory OT for the past year or so..
-management expects more and more production each month
    -terrible work environment
Honestly everything, not only has this job cost me 2000$ in taxes, they also tend to say "its your problem not ours" the values towards you and your family are non-existent, right now on 3rd shift you have the WORST supervisor i have ever had, you cant get any help from this guy, hes always going into the restroom to look under the stall doors, hey threatens you by practically saying if you dont do this you wont get Sunday overtime anymore (or vacation whichever he chooses) guy never leaves you alone then turns around and tells everyone how bad your production is compared to the other shifts (which have far more experience and years in the company vs me.) overall i hate this place and i cant wait to get a new job. i would not recommend this place at all.

and to all who really dont understand what i am saying read every con in everyone's reviews, they are all correct, so is the pro's as far as i can tell.

    Advice to Management

    Quit.

    Pros

Thought it was a reputable, great company

    Cons

I was hired as a contract employee to work at Eaton for a leave for 90 days duration. I left another job for this great opportunity & pressured to resign right away, then told they didn't want me for another few weeks & left with no income during that time. Three days before I was to start, Eaton told them they wanted me to work 5 days, then be off for 3 weeks & then come back when the woman went out on maternity leave! I hadn't even known I'd be covering a maternity leave & I'd be without income for another 3 weeks! I'm a lower level employee with no savings and now I fear I will be homeless due to Eaton's lack of regard for my situation & not telling the agency this beforehand. We understood it to be 90 consecutive days. I am disheartened, dismayed, and cannot believe they would do this to someone.
