I have been working at Eaton full-time

    Pros

    Good people and decent benefits

    Cons

Management have value engineered the company into the ground - too little resources to be able to service our customers properly-quality of products is being sacrificed in favor of cost savings- company is losing good talent as a result

    Advice to Management

Listen to the customer and don't give lip service

    Pros

    - Good work/life balance
    - Ethics
    - Value professional and personal growth
    - Streamlined operations (and always improving) considering its a 100k employees business
    - Good employee evaluations

    Cons

    - No wage increase or bonus even for employees well above average at their evaluation. So no real incentive to over-perform.
    - Company struggles to keep earnings on target. So even if sales did not meet target, most employees won't get their yearly salary increase. Increases won't even cover inflation.
    - Uneven salaries across offices/locations.
    - Many silos still to be merged across acquisitions, but this is slowly improving.

    Advice to Management

Have real incentives for over performing employees with outstanding achievements. Revise wage adjustments across locations esp. in Canada.

I have been working at Eaton full-time

    Pros

Good culture with can do attitude to get things done.

    Cons

Wish the ONE Eaton globally will become a realization sooner than later as the region acts separately.

    Advice to Management

Get the supply chain and logistics under one instead of being in the region to speed up the ONE Eaton philosophy.

    Pros

Eaton offers good benefits and good pay. There are plenty of diverse projects and challenging jobs. You'll never get bored.
