I worked at Eaton full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Tuition advancement program, competitive salary, free online classes available for most subjects, people-driven management style, friendly culture, flexible PTO policy

    Cons

Unequal distribution of work load, segregation of business divisions, lack of resources to solve problems, suspension of 401k match during adverse market conditions, I was in a manager role but was not given the title or recognition

    Advice to Management

Suspend wage increases rather than 401k match during unfavorable business conditions, encourage transparency with regard to workload and performance, reduce roles that report to managers from outside facilities

Old school approach to problems resolution.

I have been working at Eaton full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Overall, I like working at Eaton. In my opinion, the biggest strength is the culture compared to most automotive companies. Management is more laid back, and it's less stressful.
    - easygoing culture compared to other automotive companies
    - good work/life balance, relatively low stress
    - friendly/helpful co-workers
    - career development is a high priority and taken seriously by management
    - good on-boarding process and training opportunities

    Cons

Overall, the cons are not horrible - just little things that could be improved.
    - 401k match suspension and mandatory unpaid leaves of absence for those above a certain level hurt morale
    - too many "report out"/waste of time meetings
    - can take too long to process things through systems
    - lack of accountability or consequences from management if objectives aren't met
    - too much pandering to Wall Street and lack of implementation of long term strategy

    Advice to Management

If you say you will or won't do something - stick to it. Expect more out of your employees and enforce more accountability.
