    Pros

They really care about their employees-- retention is a major concern for them. Managers are held accountable when talent is lost. Great work life balance, top notch benefits, incredible office and parties.

    Cons

Only a minor con: Business dress is required, business casual on Fridays.

I worked at Eaton Vance (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great work life balance, awesome friendly coworkers. Manage to make a large company feel very small and personal - spoke with the CEO and many SVP and portfolio managers on a multiple occasion. Eaton Vance really lived up to the whole "no one was too big for one job" mentality

    Cons

Very low glass ceiling. If you don't fit their perfect cookie cutter idea of how women should walk, talk and act than you are going no where fast. It pains me to say that if I were a guy I would still be employed at Eaton Vance and steadily moving up the ladder one rung at a time

    Advice to Management

Fix the glass ceiling and old school vibe that surrounds the halls. This isn't the 60s anymore women need to feel like and see that they have an equal opportunity

    Pros

    great work-life balance; company is on the right track for future development; managers generally try to keep employees;

    Cons

things can move a bit slow sometimes due to politics but this is quite normal for all companies like this.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Eaton Vance full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people are great to work with, laid back culture, benefits were good, management was very laid back

    Cons

Not much room for growth in certain departments, pay was on the lower end of the industry. Bonus was given half in cash and the other half in stocks which take a while to vest. People are very complacent there so if you are trying to grow your career this is only a stepping stone. The people who have higher level postilion don't leave which makes it difficult to move up the ladder forcing you to find another job outside the company.

    Advice to Management

Help employees reach career goals and continue to help them strive to grow.
