I worked at Eberspaecher North America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Not to many pros to speak of, however the majority of non management people are very good people and hardworking

    Cons

Worked there for over 4 years and finally seen no signs of advancement opportunity unless suck up and bow down to upper management authority. Several managers and directors have no clue what their doing or how to run the department they are responsible for. Been in automotive manufacturing for over 30 years and have never worked at a company that had such a high turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Learn to listen to your employees. Work with them not against them. You must be doing something wrong with such a high turnover rate. You have lost a lot of talented people over the last few years, wonder why ?

    Pros

    Clean environment
    Good benefits
Possible promotion if liked by higher up

    Cons

    Terrible management
    Huge turn over rate
Below average wages for what the company makes
    Long hours from miscommunication
    Extreme favoritism

    Advice to Management

Increase wages to attract better talent pools. This will be there down fall. Lately there has been 100+ customer complaints because of the large amount of temps

I have been working at Eberspaecher North America full-time

    Pros

Working here has been a very rewarding experience. It has a different feel than the usual automotive companies and I feel very valued here. My co-workers are great people and would like to continue on for many more years. I like that it is a family owned company.

    Cons

I don't have any real cons to speak of, it has been a great place to work.

    Pros

When colleagues have issues to discuss, they don't keep it secret. Energetic meetings focus on solving problems. Pretty good IT department supporting computer and telephony infrastructure.

    Cons

No company cars, no corporate credit cards for customer-facing staff.

    Advice to Management

Germany HQ is complicated and tough to navigate. Some headquarters are paternalistic, but this one is almost too hands off with regards to global alignment. They would do well to have a few expatriates from Germany work in the US and other foreign outposts for a few years and communicate standards to them.

    Cons

Management sucks and treat you like garbage and a lot of favoritism not to mention they will fire you for the smallest things stay away a lot of drama in the Wixom plant everyone is messy

    Advice to Management

Quit being so petty about everything

    Pros

There are many good employees in Alabama.

    Cons

The Alabama location is managed under the direction of a divisive leader who has little respect for people. Vindictiveness and divisive behavior is the focal point of this leader which creates unnecessary negativity and stress in the work environment. The primary motivator is ego and the ability to maintain power. Power is achieved not through healthy team work, conversations, disagreements and compromise, but rather through coercion, manipulation, alienation and intimidation. Those who challenge thinking are treated as mutinous. Those who don't challenge thinking and follow are favored in positions as confidants and fall in line to keep their jobs - they know what is going on is wrong, but they want to fly under the radar to maintain their jobs. Those who question or challenge thinking, unethical behavior or status quo are shunned and / or eliminated.

    Advice to Management

Find a leader who cares about the employs - who they are, what they have to say and their work.

I worked at Eberspaecher North America (More than a year)

    Pros

Health care, disability and life insurance benefits are good. Recently went through overhaul in the upper management realm which trickled down through the rest of the company. Most Co-workers were very helpful and worked with you to get tasks completed.

    Cons

    - Need to hire enough staff to keep up with the workload.
    - A lot of "old school" managers that like to see employees working many late hours as a measure for how good the employee is.
    - At least 50% of your time is spent attending meetings with very little time to complete your actual work.
    - Slow to get approval as all decisions must be approved in Germany and use the German processes even if they do not translate well when conducting business in America.

    Advice to Management

Review each department in depth to ensure that you have enough employees to cover the workload and that you are using the most efficient processes. Instate a 360 degree review process to ensure that all voices are heard.
