I worked at Ebix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Job stability, as the company seems to be growing.
Beautiful decor and building; free coffee, tea, soda and juice. Occasional "special" days where HR serves alcohol to all employees and we drink it at our desk. An example of this is this past Cinco de Mayo, 2016.

    Cons

If you work hard, management calls you a "work-horse" as if that's a compliment but there is no growth. Working hard and producing quality work only gets you stuck in the position you're in. Very unprofessional environment. Gossip and chaos is kept up by the Sales Consultants and HR as well.

The pay is mediocre and there are no raises, bonuses, or recognition given to an employee until they're in a salaried position.

    Pros

    The stock price goes up

    Cons

Pyramid scheme to buy companies and gut them to hit the financial ratios that drive stock price. Employees and Customers pay the price for this. High turnover, no annual raises, no new product development. Just running off business trying to hold on to revenue of acquired companies.

    Advice to Management

    Why? CEO would never listen.

    Pros

some of the employee are wonderful and are willing to help. I said some, not the ones who were your peer, then turned to management.

    Cons

mgmt is crap real crap. mgr who never managed before and do not know how to speak to people need to get a life. they do not care about their employees or customers. so many clients are cancelling services. management suck and they are very very unprofessional. if you want to work with a micro manager and a hostile environment then apply.

    Advice to Management

get rid of trainers as managers. learn to be more professional and less of a micro managers

    Pros

Good benefits package, great co-workers . Wide variety of vertices and products to gain knowledge of if you are allowed the time to absorb the information.

    Cons

You have to chase after your bonus, commission, salary review and basically anything thrashes to do with money. Better make sure when you negotiate your offer to be as much as possible because you will typically not see an increase for at least 3-5 years.

Get ready for some long hours because there is no importance made to resourcing needs. Be prepared for zero recognition as well as you are expected to work 50-60 hours regularly with zero overtime.

    Advice to Management

Shift your paradigm and think about employee morale, client satisfaction and making acquisitions that make sense . Hire competent people and then give them the authority to make decisions. Invest in your employees not buying back your stock or a new shiny building.
