I have been working at Ebix full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Fair, Laid back, accommodating, great people. Management has your back on all matters. Tremendous environment. Team is completely dedicated.

    Cons

Little opportunity for advancement, no pay raises offered. CEO is self centered and arrogant, often referring to himself in the 3rd person

    Advice to Management

Focus on improving morale. Offer raises, I have not seen a raise in over 8 years that I have been there.

I worked at Ebix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is an aesthetically pretty company on the outside with their amenities and the inside decor.

    Cons

They spend all their money on making the outside and inside look very nice but they do not care or pay their employees well. They have not spent any time on any of the inside amenities as we were promised such as a cafeteria, break room and gym. They build all this outside equipment that we have no time to use so it's pointless. There is way too much work put on us and we are not compensated well enough for it. There is a horrible lack of training and a very high turnover because nobody wants to deal with that lack of respect from the higher managers.

    Advice to Management

invest in a training class that will be productive to the call center and the rest of the employees. Don't put all this work on one person and expect this to finish it ALL in one day. Treat your employees with respect and treat us like human beings.

I worked at Ebix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Interesting work that was challenging enough to keep it interesting.

    Cons

Internally, the team I worked with were notoriously not great communications. Pay not outstanding.

    Advice to Management

Work on removing the silo affect across all their business platforms.

    Pros

Every business division works independently. the corporate is in huge acquisition phase.
     potential for growth.

    Cons

there is no coherent work culture passed on. Ebix consulting division is in complete confusion mode after the acquisition by parent company.

    Advice to Management

need to focus on improving revenues not lay offs.

I have been working at Ebix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The people
VERY asual dress code. Any color hair etc
The building in Johns Creek is nice I guess

    Cons

    Everything
    Very low pay
A lot of work for low pay
    Traffic
    Construction around the building
    Parking
Upper management look down on you
    High turnover
    No job recognition
    No room for advancement
    EVERYTHING

    Advice to Management

PAY YOUR PEOPLE. Stop spending so much money on pools, and golf courses for the building and PAY YOUR PEOPLE. Do not look down on your employees to their faces. Be more concerned about your employees and customers instead of the kind of cars you're driving and making the place look nice.

    Pros

Casual, low stress environment with little to no work to take home.
    Decent benefits.
Great co-workers. Managers do a good job when choosing new hires.

    Cons

Very little room to move up.
Very stingy with any kind of pay increase.
If you are in an office outside of the main Atlanta "campus", you feel as if your job can get axed at any second.

    Advice to Management

At least a cost of living pay increase to keep up with inflation on a yearly basis. More open communication (i.e. let us know what to expect if there will be anything such as cost cuts or layoffs). We are all adults and understand business isn't always pretty, but don't keep us in the dark.

    Pros

Worked with a great team of people for over 15 years. Being trusted to make high level decisions without approval.

    Cons

Lack of communication and support from upper management. Under staffed in all departments. Management under qualified and couldn't answer questions asked.

    Advice to Management

    Stop promoting friends.
