I worked at Ebix full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

I can't think of any Pros about this company. They were very strict. The lady manager was always disrespectful and a know it all. I would never recommend anyone to work there.

      Cons

Ebix treated their employees like school kids. Your ideas didn't matter in any type of situation.

      Advice to Management

Learn how to treat people with respect and like adults.

I have been working at Ebix full-time for more than a year

      Pros

The workload is considerably lighter. The Johns Creek campus, is well maintained.

      Cons

The organization is a bit chaotic. Everything always seems to find a way to become an emergency. Also, policies and procedures are not standardized.

I worked at Ebix full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

      Good benefits, 401k, vacation, etc.

      Cons

Management is looking to trim costs by any means necessary, even if it means worse service for client

      Advice to Management

Pay more attention to client services and retention.

I worked at Ebix full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Good PTO. Coffee, tea and soft drinks

      Cons

Dysfunctional. No direction. Acquisition of new companies is primary focus. Underpaid and overworked. Working outside your scope of duties commonplace. With no gratitude or reward. Terrible equipment. Grounds and building a beautiful facade.

      Advice to Management

Get a game plan. Appreciate your employees. Improve the company you have.

I worked at Ebix full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Nice Campus. Clients can be very friendly. Coworkers will help you cope. You can advance quickly (if only because your supervisor will either quit or be fired and you will be able to slide right into the position to perpetuate the cycle...)

      Cons

HORRIBLE management with beyond-terrible decision making skills. I have seen repeatedly this company opt to kill the crew instead of depose their terrible captains (continuing the "ship" metaphor). They prefer to buy up competition and services instead of perfecting the ones they already have. They will ax people in other departments and expect you (or your subordinates) to pick up the slack without an inkling that they...

      Advice to Management

LISTEN. Quit your cliquish garbage and know that it is a lot cheaper to hire a new manager than it is to retrain people constantly as a result.
