I have been working at Ebix full-time

    Pros

    Friendly Environment
    Good Benefits Package
    Laid Back Atmosphere
    Little to no pressure
The ability to work with little supervision is nice

    Cons

The pay is way to low for the work that you do
    No Room for growth
Management makes promises and never follows through

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees a livable wage

I worked at Ebix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Interesting work that was challenging enough to keep it interesting.

    Cons

Internally, the team I worked with were notoriously not great communications. Pay not outstanding.

    Advice to Management

Work on removing the silo affect across all their business platforms.

    I worked at Ebix full-time

    Pros

Good products, better than average reputation in the industry.

    Cons

Refused to pay commissions that were owed until threatened with lawsuits. Did not pay commissions on a timely basis. Failed to provide adequate staff to maintain client relationships and tech support resulting in highly dissatisfied clients at times.

    Advice to Management

Worry less about the price of the stock and more about satisfying your customers. If you ignore your clients long enough, they will go away.

I have been working at Ebix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The people
VERY asual dress code. Any color hair etc
The building in Johns Creek is nice I guess

    Cons

    Everything
    Very low pay
A lot of work for low pay
    Traffic
    Construction around the building
    Parking
Upper management look down on you
    High turnover
    No job recognition
    No room for advancement
    EVERYTHING

    Advice to Management

PAY YOUR PEOPLE. Stop spending so much money on pools, and golf courses for the building and PAY YOUR PEOPLE. Do not look down on your employees to their faces. Be more concerned about your employees and customers instead of the kind of cars you're driving and making the place look nice.

I worked at Ebix (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Worked with a great team of people for over 15 years. Being trusted to make high level decisions without approval.

    Cons

Lack of communication and support from upper management. Under staffed in all departments. Management under qualified and couldn't answer questions asked.

    Advice to Management

    Stop promoting friends.

I worked at Ebix full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Job stability, as the company seems to be growing.
Beautiful decor and building; free coffee, tea, soda and juice. Occasional "special" days where HR serves alcohol to all employees and we drink it at our desk. An example of this is this past Cinco de Mayo, 2016.

    Cons

If you work hard, management calls you a "work-horse" as if that's a compliment but there is no growth. Working hard and producing quality work only gets you stuck in the position you're in. Very unprofessional environment. Gossip and chaos is kept up by the Sales Consultants and HR as well.

The pay is mediocre and there are no raises, bonuses, or recognition given to an employee until they're in a salaried position.

I have been working at Ebix (More than a year)

    Pros

I have worked in other companies that are worse than this one. They do provide a beautiful building to work in but that is all they offer.

    Cons

No salary increase, no matter how well you do. They do not give merit or cost of living increases. They continue to give you more work when others leave but never increase the salary, just the work load. Management walks around and never speaks to you. Everyone works independently instead of as a team. Management is only interested in revenue by acquisition because that is the only way they know how. They do not upgrade the software to make it compatible with the customers software which is more up to date than we are. Most of what needs to be done is a manual process. There is no room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Upgrade what we are trying to sell, increase salary for those who actually earn it. Say Hi when you walk by an employee instead of ignoring them. A beautiful building to work in and the millions of dollars spent just to make the mangers look good should go towards keeping your employees and customers happy. You are loosing very good employees and customers.
