I worked at Ebix part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Training period was great, but maybe a bit long.

    Cons

Consistently understaffed which made working in a call center that much more stressful. Complaints about this matter were not addressed in a timely manner, if at all.

I have been working at Ebix full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Fair, Laid back, accommodating, great people. Management has your back on all matters. Tremendous environment. Team is completely dedicated.

    Cons

Little opportunity for advancement, no pay raises offered. CEO is self centered and arrogant, often referring to himself in the 3rd person

    Advice to Management

Focus on improving morale. Offer raises, I have not seen a raise in over 8 years that I have been there.

    Pros

Casual, low stress environment with little to no work to take home.
    Decent benefits.
Great co-workers. Managers do a good job when choosing new hires.

    Cons

Very little room to move up.
Very stingy with any kind of pay increase.
If you are in an office outside of the main Atlanta "campus", you feel as if your job can get axed at any second.

    Advice to Management

At least a cost of living pay increase to keep up with inflation on a yearly basis. More open communication (i.e. let us know what to expect if there will be anything such as cost cuts or layoffs). We are all adults and understand business isn't always pretty, but don't keep us in the dark.

    Pros

Liked the people and company had flexible hours. Dress is casual. Not a whole lot of area to move up in.

    Cons

Doesn't pay good. They don't appear to take enough care in their employees....that do all the work it seemed insurance coverage was cut back so it cost employees more yet they have money to continuously purchase more companies.
