I worked at Eckerd College part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to teach and mentor outstanding students; strong focus on academic excellence; usually less than 15 students per class.

    Cons

Leadership at the top is stale.

I worked at Eckerd College full-time

    Pros

Lots of vacation time and flexibility with work schedule. Good health insurance.

    Cons

Nepotism, very low pay, old/outdated facilities

    Advice to Management

Value your employees with better pay. If you want employees with bachelors and masters degrees pay them what they are worth.

I have been working at Eckerd College full-time

    Pros

Relaxed environment and everyone gets along like family. Your co-workers will always try their best to help you out in the event of an unforeseen situation.

    Great 403b matching for retirement

    Cons

Not a lot of opportunity for raises. Maybe once a year you get a $500 bonus (before taxes). I've been here for a few years and have received one raise, which was a 2% raise

    Advice to Management

Set forth some time line for raises for your employees so they have a feeling they are working toward something to better themselves.

Too chill, lots of trust fund hippies

    Advice to Management

Don't put three students in a room for housing.

I worked at Eckerd College part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Understanding bosses, schedule flexibility, above min. wage hourly salary and being paid every 2 weeks.

    Cons

Not much to report as I was only a student worker on campus so didn't have to do certain things that a full time salaried worker would have to do.

    Advice to Management

All I can say is maybe increase the hourly wage? To be honest, that is the best improvement I can think of as other than that my experience was good. I learned so much.

    Pros

I work in IT and this is by far the best culture for support staff. Highly appreciative for every time that you fix something and understanding when you don't or can't.

    Cons

There are no cons that I can see so far except maybe salary stagnation, but I'm completely fine with how much I'm making as of right now

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!
