I worked at Eclipse Aviation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work life balance is very positive. Lots of very good hard working people here.

    Cons

Competition in the industry is very difficult right now. The company is competing against products that are much better funded and supported. The lack of funding and poor product support is hurting sales.

    Advice to Management

Without a solution to the funding and product support problems sales will never improve. Must fix that first to restore confidence in the company.

I worked at Eclipse Aviation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers from the Director level down to the techs.

The aircraft design is well executed.

If the Air Force selects the "Project Canada" as it's T-1 replacement, the company will be set.

    Cons

The aircraft design is well executed, but unfortunately is not the right aircraft design as the market has shown.

I predict the entrance of the Cirrus Vision (which looks a lot like the Eclipse 400) will take the customer base and kill the company.

    Advice to Management

Have the Klapmeier brothers kiss and make up because "One Aviation" isn't going to keep you out of another bankruptcy.

    Cons

A couple of members of the management team were abusive and toxic

Get rid of the toxic members of the management team ASAP before they destroy the company.

I worked at Eclipse Aviation full-time

    Pros

Pay was good benefits were great.

    Cons

No raises ever given. Terrible management. Unstable company that has filed for bankruptcy 2x. They don't recognize employees for anything. They work their employees endlessly throught the holidays then do lay-offs after.

    Advice to Management

They need a management clean up! Most of the higher management have no idea how the aviation industry works. Higher management should not be advising how aircraft gets built all which should be left to production managers to decide.

    Pros

Work was somewhat interesting. I learned how to manipulate a very complex database. I am grateful for the experience.

    Cons

No room to advance - at least that was my experience. I felt singled out when they had their massive layoff in 2014.

    Advice to Management

Communicate better with subordinates. Offer more room to advance, learn new aspects of the business other than what's right in front of your face everyday.

Sell one of the more exciting personal jets available.

    Cons

1099 compensation. No sales, no income.
After market collapse and financial problems
at the company, the future doesn't look bright.

    Cons

Company have history of going banrupt and chnages, there are recent layoff and the only time qwe got is a Day, no Formal notice ie 30-60 days

    Advice to Management

I worked at Eclipse Aviation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I like the aerospace and aviation concepts. I couldn't fly F-15's because of my color blindness but, If I can work in the industry, I will be in heaven on earth.

    Cons

The biggest and most challenging part would be to continually progress and mature within this industry.

    Advice to Management

I don't believe this question, advice to management, is appropriate at this time.

    Pros

Exciting work environment developing a new aircraft and all the growing pains of a new company. The environment was filled with people who wanted to work and make an outstanding product.

    Cons

Aircraft subsystems redesign is costing too much R&D and is putting the company at risk. This company is making some bad business decisions at the expense of creating a better product.

    Advice to Management

Someone needs to make tough business decisions. Stop trying to make the perfect jet and make a jet that can be sold and turn a profit for the company.
