I worked at Edelman (More than 3 years)
The biggest clients, the best resources. A team environment.
You have to really love PR or you will simply fail here. Everyone is a champion. Highly competitive work place.
I worked at Edelman as an intern (Less than a year)
Edelman is the leading public relations for a reason and working here was nothing short of awesome. The Edelman Seattle office is full of vibrant, talented people who are fun to work with. I learned a lot in this internship about public relations that I took to other positions. You simply won't get the training and hands-on experience doing high-level work in a PR internship anywhere else. The organization of the company is great and I always felt comfortable asking questions.
A job is not guaranteed at the end of the internship, even if you are a fantastic intern. It all depends on timing.
I worked at Edelman full-time (More than a year)
Lots of very smart people, great ideas, very professional
Can feel very corporate and sterile at times for PR firm...
I have been working at Edelman full-time (More than 3 years)
-Opportunities for growth
-Smart, hard working colleagues
-Vision backed by CEO's investment and puts his money where his mouth is.
It's a demanding place to work and if you're not careful, your work/life balance will get away from you. Set parameters and stick by them. Everyone has families and this is a family firm...
Advice to Management
Increase junior salaries. Brutal to lose a great talent to another firm who is just a little bit higher in salary. Be willing to pay a bit more for someone you want.

True ability to grow

You must pay your dues, but that is expected in a large agency.
