    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Edelstein & Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People really care about each other, management very supportive of its people, very client-oriented. Not your typical stodgy accounting firm, very young, entrepreneurial and fun. Even during tax season, people are smiling.

    Cons

There are growing pains going from small CPA firm now to one of the larger firms in Boston.

    Advice to Management

You need professionals to manage the administration of the firm to sustain growth. Trust your people professional administrators and staff to take on more responsibility.

I worked at Edelstein & Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly, genuine people, benefits, pay, flexibility, hours (compared to large companies). The work is less stressful than working for a large or Big 4 firm. In addition, the CPA is not pushed so heavily on employees. It really does feel like a family there. Most genuine colleagues I have had at a job, and people stay with this company for a long time.

    Cons

Limited number of clients and growth opportunities

    Advice to Management

    More frequent feedback

"Pay & health Insurance is just not enough to keep you at a job!"

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Pay & health insurance are excellent.

    Cons

training was limited. Promised that you would not need car for traveling since most clients are local or the manager would be flexible-not true! They make you believe that your doing great and then they conspire against you. I practically never got to take a lunch bc supervisors/management frown upon it, especially when on audits.

    Advice to Management

You should value your employees more, particularly ones that try to improve processes, train others, and try to be efficient & learn from mistakes on future jobs.
