Strong pay, great benefits, flexible schedule and a product offering that no one else can do. The technical team is strong and leadership is poised to take this company to the next level

Like most companies this size, there is more process and procedure needed.

Promising future since going public

Product is interesting. Software technology is best of breed and a resume builder. Niche market.
Cons
Just recently went public, so there's still some adjustments being made as the company learns how to navigate those waters.

Pros
Smart developers, many have been with Edge a long time. Some impressive customer names. Customer success team very focused on retainng and growing customers and driving product improvement roadmap.
Cons
Dysfunctional private equity owners. Infighting on leadership team. Complete lack of diversity and inclusion. Less than 5 female employee s and no minorities. Disconnected development operations in Belgrade, Serbia with high turnover. Company is struggling to grow and find new customers; abysmal sales results. Favoritism.

Pros
Focused on customer satisfaction. The new CEO is driven to succeed, and hopes people care as much as he does. He's constantly working to build every aspect to be better than before, and it's a good example, seeing him be a real leader while taking help from experts around him. In general, there's little micro-management and more freedom to approach challenges in different ways. Results matter, and the fact that hard work and smart work are both recognized is good to know. Management understands that people take different approaches and people have room to do things their own way. The company is now a mix of new faces trying to excel and company long-timers with really deep knowledge, and it's the norm for people to chip in and help as a team, especially on the technical side.
Cons
With latitude to work on assignments and projects, if someone isn't contributing or listening to others it's very obvious, and then the people that do get results step up. That's a negative because the overall team always steps up to cover for lackluster effort and results, until those team members with no self-motivation or glass egos are exposed. One con is the growth stage the company is at - recent efforts were focused on improving the offerings and foundation, and investment went there instead of direct sales or marketing. That sales team needs to expand to reach new areas of the market.

Let your ideas be heard
Aug 27, 2020 - Principal Business Process ConsultantRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Edge offers a truly unique work environment with a proven innovation platform built on past performance success in some of the largest companies/environments in the world infused with a start up mentality and hunger to grow. Collectively, you will be hard pressed to find a more supportive work environment where everyone is driven towards the same goal with an open door policy to the CEO regarding ideas/strategy which will not only be taken into account but implemented based on viability. I highly recommended Edge as a career option to all self-driven individuals who strive for success and desire to work for an organization where ideas and vision are valued from the CEO on down.
Cons
Keep building out the marketing element as Edge is the best kept secret in IT today.
