Pros

Great salary and benefits Ability to move up within the company Become proficient with a multitude of technologies You start with a very competitive salary and benefits that are second to none. Senior management strongly believes in promoting from within, especially for those that show ambition and willingness to learn. Due to the large number of clients, you have the ability to become very proficient in numerous technologies by working in them day in and day out across numerous clients. Your learning curve is a lot quicker in the MSP environment. Its very simple, you get out of Edge what you put into it. If you work hard, show a willingness to learn and help, and prove you belong in this very unique space of an MSP to Hedge Funds and the Financial industry, you will be treated very well and advance your career.

Cons

Long hours High workload and stress If you are looking for a 9-5 job with low workloads and stress levels, Edge is definitely not the place for you. People with those expectations will not do well at Edge, as you can see by the couple of negative reviews. Those with low expectations and motivation are quickly rooted out and let go, which creates a false sense of a bad environment and allows those people to blame others instead of looking in the mirror. Long-term lower-level management stability Due to the rapid growth of the company, in conjunction with individuals excelling at their jobs and being promoted, there is a lot of low level management changes. While the main company policies and standards remain consistent, you still need to get used to new managers with slightly different personalities and procedures from the previous manager.

Pros

Good benefits, good pay, good night differential (20%) if you like working nights.

Cons

I was hired for the trader desktop support position but was told to work the NOC temporarily. Long story short, there was never a desktop position. Ended up leaving after 6 months. The tenured staff feel entitled and don't do anything. If you are the new comer, you get stuck taking all the calls and all the tickets. God forbid you don't handle all in a timely manner. Egos egos egos among the staff. They are also very clique and will chat about you in the messenger app while you are there and giggle all day.

Pros

health benefits year end bonus (25-10% of your yearly salary - higher % is based how many years ago you started) - does not go up health benefits - next to none work from home - if you are a favorite They do care what they do, but the culture here is very "we like you and we will talk to you, if we don't we ignore you and talk behind your back"

Cons

management does not lead - if they don't like you, they basically will say hi to everyone in the office. Especially Jim N. You do not get special treatment if you are Christian - "do you think a client gives a <blank> what religion you are?" - asking to leave early on a catholic holiday. But same person who told you that, takes off for jewish Long hours - but not so much a negative, they don't care about your outside of work life. On Call is a horrible They say they are hiring, but it will take years before they bring in someone new. For someone else to get burned out and leave people are two faced, nice to you at the office but will throw you under the bus or forget you as soon as you leave.
