      Never Onboard During a Pandemic

      Great benefits and awesome product portfolio.

      Cons

      Not very welcoming to new comers. Everyone is doing their own thing, making it difficult to follow the flow. A serious lack of consistency. Learning about events, responsibilities and other day to day workings after the fact or immediately before they begin because someone did not include you in a simple email invite. Not being included on corporate email distribution list. A true lack of understanding from tenured employees of the challenges a new hire has faces not having met a single person face to face. Guidelines relating to working remotely should have been established and communicated to the US Team early on for successfully working remotely. Getting emails at all hours of the night from US based employees who you cannot connect with during normal business hours causes delay, and it is difficult to keep up with everyone schedule. What are these employee's doing during the day? Shopping, sleeping?

      Pros

      Although its a large company, Edgewell leverages a close-knit environment. Our CEO truly values a healthy work-life balance for all employees and maintains a high level of transparency about the on-goings of the business. The company has stood by it's People First values, even in the difficult times the pandemic has caused, and ensured customers and employees remain at the center of the business. The company retains employees and thus has built a highly-skilled work force with a sense of community which is lacking at so many other companies.

      Cons

      As with many large companies, interdepartmental communication can be lacking, which prevents collaborations from working as seamlessly as they could. Due to ongoing restructuring, issues often steam from individuals not knowing who to include in specific decisions or meetings, and without sufficient check points, individuals make choices without seeing the full picture, leading to unintended impacts.
