    Pros

Located close to where I reside

    Cons

You can not advance, once you become good at what you do, you are stuck in that position. You are too important for them to let you bid on another position. they don't hire talented people any more just bodies to fill the position

    Advice to Management

Look around and see what you have on the production floor, change management. Production workers are the heartbeat of the company.

I worked at Edgewell Personal Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits were very good. The work is interesting and deadlines are fairly flexible. Large companies always have the advantage of having larger budgets for projects as well. There is an abundance of career opportunities and, with some time, the ability to move between them.

    Cons

Very slow to implement changes and adapt to the market. This has caused the portfolio to steadily drop each year, resulting in large amounts of layoffs. Moral is at all time lows, important positions are being vacated and leaving for the competition, and those that remain are being overworked, underappreciated, and underpaid. . Promotion to management is based on merit and not managing ability, so retention of new hires and interns is almost zero as a result. The culture is very depressing right now.

    Advice to Management

My advice is to answer these questions. Why have we paid so much money to lease the private jet for the CEO? The amount spent has exceeded the cost of the jet itself and then some. Why has the CEO received a large bonus, yet the portfolio was down yet again AND huge budget cuts / layoffs are required to fix spending? Why are we unable to retain interns and new-hires in the engineering department?

I have been working at Edgewell Personal Care full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

New open floor plan office... if you like open floor plans

    Cons

Continuous and extreme cost cutting on all fronts including brands. And still, company expects colleagues to develop plans that result in growth. Sorcery indeed. Company is in process of broad scale change which has led to significant chaos for those that actual need to get work done. Old company culture of being genuine, inspiring and respectful is gone, and seems to be a deliberate change based on past who has been put in place at the higher ranks. Unable to keep seasoned marketing staff on the payroll.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and spend some time understanding what is being done to those actually needing to get work done.

    Pros

Paycheck. Perfect for those who prefer to do 4 months of work in < 1 month.

    Cons

Lowest morale possible. New leaders are making a cultural shift where courtesy and thoughtfulness are optional. Valued marketing colleagues are exiting at a rate faster than ever. There are not enough hours in a week, including weekends and when normal people sleep, for remaining marketing base to get work done (also compounded by inability to hire back fills). Zero stability. Too many changes to every part of the organization so that completing a standard initiative now requires multiple meetings to figure out who owns what tasks which then doubles time to get work done.

    Advice to Management

If you want a shot at turning around the business, you need motivated colleagues. And motivated colleagues want to work hard to produce strong results because they are inspired by their leader, understand the company’s vision, and are part of an empowered team.
