I have been working at Edinburgh Napier University full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The Merchiston campus is situated at a nice position easy to get to city centre and travel from the train station. The buildings are well maintained and clean. The teaching and research activities are going well, and you can get help easily.

    Cons

    University parking is an issue.

    Advice to Management

Need to attract more fundings to improve laboratory facilities and wisely use the available space

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Edinburgh Napier University for more than a year

    Pros

The department in which I worked had an excellent atmosphere, and my supervisor would bend over backwards to try and keep an employee that he considered valuable.

    Cons

As with most companies these days, the University has a limited budget, which has lead to a decrease in the number of permanent contracts being awarded.

    Advice to Management

Consider rewarding some of the more productive members of staff with permanent contracts as I'm sure stringing them along with bits and pieces of temporary contracts will only keep them for so long.
